ITC Legal Services - Avoid Them

  • And how about this claim on their Facebook page.....

They claim "At itc Legal Services, we are committed to providing the type of service we'd like our own family members to receive.

We offer a probate service that combine a refreshingly straightforward approach with a transparent and competitive"

(Please note that even this paragraph has not been written correctly. 'combine' should be 'combines' as the reference is to a plural and with a transparent and competitive. competitive what??? Incomplete sentencing.

See how ITC cannot even get their advertising grammatically correct. A perfect example how the company cannot get anything right!!!!!)
This is also another violation of Trading Standards as this is not the service that I have (nor many others ) have experienced

This is an outrageous statement and how the company has the balls to advertise themselves in this way. If this the kind of service ITC would like their family to receive then I'm jolly glad I'm not related to them. Shame on you.

It should read "At itc Legal Services, we are committed to providing the type of service that will get you commited to a mental health unit and we'd like our own family to receive generous gifts due to the profits that we make from your family members when administering their estate.

We offer a incompetant probate service that combines a refreshingly appalling service that has no straightforward approach which is neither transparent or competitive, but you will not discover this until we have power of attorney and control over your loved ones estate."

ITC are making me so angry:mad::mad::mad:
  • As promised I can now reveal with great delight that I am free of iTC. I decided to write to Mr McKerron which got things moving, also I made many phone calls to iTC until I got the right person to take care of my file, the lady in question (not Jessica) was very good and kept me informed throughout. I have had most of my paperwork returned and some funds returned. They did not charge me for any administration work just for some minor incidentals. For me it has been a victory thanks to all on the Forum who made me sit up and take stock before I got in too deep. I did get a reply back from the Law Society also Consumer Direct by then I was nearly free. I have been reading all the additional comments on the Forum which is quite heart rendering and I hope that the Facebook page will make iTC realise that the 'natives are angry' and they have to put their house in order. Thank you all without the Forum I too would have been pulling my hair out.
  • Fantastic news. :j
I hope that you get the probate sorted nice and quickly (and relatively cheaply too). Please post your experience on the FB page as it will, without a doubt, help other potential victims too.
Did you let ITC know that you changed your mind about using them because of this thread? I hope so!!
    Well done and good luck.

ITC were handling the Council tax payments directly with the local authority; they assured me that they had systems set up and agreed with the council. I received a court summons from the council due to ITC failing to make the payments. It took a great deal of persuasion to get the Council to withdraw the summons and only when I paid the full amount did they agree. ITC blamed the council, the council blamed ITC, who do you believe?
ITC agreed to repay the money and the cost of the court summons but how can you trust them; I asked for a breakdown of the assets and payments and they said it would cost me £160; how can you deal with such an outfit?
  • Reply to Portland Boy's question. Unfortunately, I did not mentioned this thread now I wish I had. When I first found this Forum I was so shocked at what I was reading and knowing that I had only signed up with iTC a few weeks beforehand I paniced and was determined to get out of the contract which has now been achieved. I have already applied for Probate and only had to pay £90 plus £3 for extra drafts. I will now be able to use my own estate agent and conveyancer. I did use the FB link on the Forum but it only took me to one page with one lot of comments. Am I missing something?

No you're not missing anything. I'm guessing that having your real name on every post is awkward for anyone still dealing with ITC so as they get out or finish their cases I'm hoping people add comments in the future.

Well done. Am I right in thinking that you were recommended to use ITC through Barclays Bank? If so, please could you make a complaint direct to Barclays Head office and explain your reasons for pulling out of using ITC due to reading this forum. I shiver just thinking about the amount of people who have, are and will be referred to ITC by Barclays as the cycle will just repeat and repeat until this company is finally investigated by the authorities for their dodgy practices.

As Barclays outsource the customer service 'offering' to ITC this might well be worthwhile doing
  • My family too have experienced the "customer services" of ITC. Like others we signed up to ITC as they were supposed to the the stress free option!

I have today written to the BBC to see if their upcoming BBC2 series, Legacy, or indeed another BBC programme can investigate ITC. Maybe an expose is just what is needed for this organisation. I have sent a link to this website so that they can see the frustration and misery that this organisation are causing us.

Sorry to hear of your experience. As you may have seen on here, there are many of us who have gone through (or are going through) the stress of employing ITC. If you have a Facebook account and a bit of time please join and add your experience to our group page:

We aim to put as many potential victims off of using ITC. I will also look into the BBC Legacy you have mentioned, thanks.
