I told DH about Tine saying her husband would have her sectioned if contemplating a second pregnancy at this stage, and he thought it might be reassuring to other ladies if we explained our thinking on why it might be quite a good age gap, just in case it happens by accident and anyone worries that it's horrid :) I'm not saying I think anyone else should do this, just that there are some plus points as I see it

Maybe I should clarify why Dh would have me sectioned: I had such severe morning sickness I ended up on a drip in hospital, I had to take medication to control it will gone 20 weeks, I had such bad backache that I was in agony for the latter 20 weeks of the pregnancy and had to take painkillers to remain mobile... Oh yeah and then there was the delivery ;)

MY reason for not wanting one this soon is that I don't personally think the body is built for it or ready for it this soon after a baby - especially if BFing but also generally... If you don't give your body a chance to recover then I don't think you give the baby the best chance you can. But that's as always my personal view :)

  • I think I read somewhere that 6 months is the recommended time to let the body recover?

The main reason I won't have one soon (I could deal with the pain I think) is that a lot of women lose thier milk while BF'ing and I want Toby to BF for as long as he wants.

I'd feel terrible if Toby had to wean at 8 months or so, and then I fed next baby till 2+.

Keira was walking at 10months  She was crawling and sitting unaided from about 6/7months too. I always thought it was funny to see this wee chubby thing crawling into the kitchen after me, poking her head round the door and screaming "EH!"

Her first word was actually "aye" she never says it now though. Thought it was hillarious at the time though!

Keira is still V bunged up, away to attempt to throw her in the bath before nursery but don't think she is going to play ball today.

I'm also stumped as to what to cook for dinner tonight. I fancy those quasidellas (big SP) where would I get black beans from? I've got the Tesco Metro or lidl?

I've got plenty of meat in the freezer but totally having a brain fart.

Think if we have something "saucy" then Keira can get a sausage with some dry pasta or something. Least I know she's eating that, and I'm going to go buy decent almost 100% sausages for her, not the cheap pap I normally buy, because if she is eating that at least, best to get the best!
