I think I read somewhere that 6 months is the recommended time to let the body recover?

The main reason I won't have one soon (I could deal with the pain I think) is that a lot of women lose thier milk while BF'ing and I want Toby to BF for as long as he wants.

I'd feel terrible if Toby had to wean at 8 months or so, and then I fed next baby till 2+.

 I only BF Chris exclusively for 4 days :(
That's why I hidc EBM in his choccy milk ;):D

I think that is a great thing. I don't think you should feel bad. For me, I always wanted to BF, so I'd feel bad if I didn't for the selfish reason of having another baby. Hope that makes sense? :o

MY reason for not wanting one this soon is that I don't personally think the body is built for it or ready for it this soon after a baby - especially if BFing but also generally... If you don't give your body a chance to recover then I don't think you give the baby the best chance you can. But that's as always my personal view :)

I know you didn't intend it this way Tine, but I think I need to withdraw from that debate. I feel too vulnerable and sensitive right now to feel that any of my parent club friends feels I am not giving my new baby the best start.

I felt very tearful when I read that, and feel, on reflection that I shouldn't discuss it if I am vulnerable to the response. You spoke about your pregnancy being hard, so I hope you will be able to understand my need to look after myself and my feelings a little. Sorry.

it makes total sence :) I wonder how the hormones of BFing affect pregnancy; if they make sickness more or less likely?
I feel guilty all the time about not 'doing better' for Chris and then I also feel that I should have done the same with Ed :o I feel like I'm playing favourites :undecided

    yes lets!!! ;)

I would love to have more - other than the GD I had a pretty straightforward pregnancy and a fantastic delivery with Jack (I am sure the calcium played a huge part in the pain relief by the way so thanks for that!).
