Right - now I have my carseat back (naughty daddy!) I think I shall take my munchkin to Aylesbury today. I want to go to Wilkinsons to get some shed paint for the allotment and then stop off at Aldi and Lidl
They're right across the road from eachother thankfully. Only annoying thing is that they have NO trolleys suitable for babies grrrr - guess it's a good time to use the baby carrier I have borrowed though... Might as well see if Madam will allow mummy to carry her round in it shopping
Could be a disaster of a day or a REALLY nice day out for mummy and baby...

Glam, can I ask, how long are you trying Jack on a bottle for? We were told to try Rhys for 30mins – which is a tediously long time, but it gives him chance to fall asleep and wake up again and have a bit more.
Hi Elle
I actually feed him for ages! I give him what he'll take, then wind him and try again. I keep going until he really won't take anymore - deffo 30mins sometimes 45 (poor boy)
The powder formula was way better than the ready made stuff - he went to bed at 11pm, woke at 2.30am and took 90mls :T Then woke again at 6.30am and had another 90mls!!!!!!
Must be nicer or something - most he'd ever taken was about 60ml.
I'm a happy mummy today - have been doing housework stuff since 7am while he slept on the playmat and he's just stirring now.
He's got a sticky eye so better go and sort that out.
I'm going to take him out in the pram later (on my own )A very busy Yummy Mummy to a 1 year old gorgeous boy :smileyhea
Where does the time go? :think:0 -
Glam best fix for sticky eye is boobjuice - just a couple of drops
I just wiped madams eye with a non-fluffy cloth dipped into some cooled boiled water personally and it cleared in a day or two but I think boobjuice makes it clear even quickerDFW Nerd #025DFW no more! Officially debt free 2017 - now joining the MFW's!

Weezl - congrats - I know (aside from certainly not wanting to!) that hubby would probably file for divorce or try to get me sectioned if told him that I wanted another baby now let alone told him I was pregnant!!!!!
Just be extra extra careful about your diet and supplements because your body hasn't had a chance to replenish the stores yet or recover. Especially calcium and iron which I'm sure you know...
Thanks Tine, I've been being very good on my supplements. Iron does seem to be the worst you're right, apparently the miscarriage and mortality rate is 3 times higher for a baby at this age gap, with the most plausible hypothesis being maternal iron depletion which leads to placental abnormalities. (although caz, SB and NikkiT have all done it super-healthily, yay!)
So I requested an extra blood test for my full ferritin count. The one they usually do is good, but it's like a snapshot of your blood at a brief moment in time, so if you were depleted, but had a nice big steak the night before, it would show as normal. This one I've asked for provides a longer term picture.
My MW is very understanding of my geeky patient ways and very happy to accomodate (ie by requesting the extra bloods) she said 'I don't mind, as long as you don't expect me to have read as much as you':rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Thanks for the tip on calcium, I shall look more into that :A
Oh and Tine, if ever my geekiness strays into accidental breach of forum rules, please do say. I think I'm sometimes shady in my understanding on the dividing line between information about the body and the way it works, and 'medical advice'. If I stray, it's by accident, I don't want to make your job hard!:D

Caz - fingers crossed for house
Hi to newbies and hugs to all that need them at the moment.
One more night and I get to see Hubby and go away to IL's for the weekend... Yippee!!:jMum to 2 lovely boys who keep me busy.0 -
Thanks Ladybird
and to all the other lovely congratulators!!!
I've been pretty well actually! Fewer symptoms than with F, which is great because I kinda need it to be that way IYSWIM?! The main issue seems to be if we're both ravenously hungry at the same time
Love weezl x
That's ok then - I was worrying about you and F puking on each otherI couldn't risk it again so soon (aside from the "letting Dh that close to me" issue!) seeing as I had SPD. No way I could manage with pushing a buggy/picking Izzy up/doing anything with her. I need to wait till she is a bit bigger, and can understand she can only cuddle Mummy if she lets Mumms sit down first

Good luck! Can you just put the car seat in the bottom of a normal trolley if all else fails, or do you need to buy too much stuff for that?
Re loos, I will go in the baby changing/dissabled ones if possibe. If not I will sometimes leave the buggy outside the cubicle, depending on where I am. (if we're at the clinic or something.) I'm not above going in the cibicle at the end (so less people walking past) and leaving the door open. No shame here
Oh, and I can go to the loo while holding Izzy. Maybe it is easier because she is bigger, so I just have to balance her on my knee, rather than having to support her head or anything. And I'm normally wearing a skirt too!Isabella Molly born 14th January 2009

Morning everyone, i'm having a down day today just took my pool down and de birthed the room i was meant to use just feel like crying now as i never got to use it. My milk has come in too so my boobs are like two very painfull bowling balls at the moment. Bubs will latch but wont suck so we have been giving him bottles so he gets enough nutrition. I expressed some milk last night but he didnt seem keen will keep trying today if he wont latch then i will stick with expressing i dont mind doing it but i will have to invest in a good electric pump any recommendations ???
:-) x:jFriends are like fabric you can never have enough:j0 -
LOL Weezl - I try to let things run their natural course most of the time which does bring things into a grey area a lot
But if I start getting really worried I do let ya all know
And if it IS something not suitable for open posting there is nothing stopping PMs or using the facebook facility to share information that would be "banned" from here
The reason I mentioned calcium is because it's not something that you might immediately notice but it could have serious effects in the long term if your calcium is too low - and producing two healthy babies in just over a year would probably put a serious drain on your system... last thing you want is the risk of osteoperosis etc because you've not taken enough calciumI have plenty of joint issues as it is so I'm being very conscious of eating plenty of calcium foods and vit d to aid the absorbsion
I'm sure all my medical tests etc included calcium readings - but I might be imagining it... but I'd just make sure you maybe buy orange juice with added calcium or something to help yourself
