  • OK, question for you all. The mother and baby group that I found starts tomorrow. Now I know that I dont know anyone with a new baby or toddler, so will not know anyone there tomorrow, so what do you do when you go in? I never went to anything like this with Jas as I was back to work really quickly, so am really unsure of what happens :)

    Hi Sami

Things are great - thanks for asking. I just lost the thread when my lappy broke and then we went on our hols.

I tried to catch up but eventually gave up :D.

Archie has also decided he can sometimes sleep in the day without mummy to keep him company so I'm not on so much in the days these days, I guess I'm probably more of a lurker now as I don't oftenget time to read AND post.

Loving all these gorgeous new babies though - I'm sure there must be an MSE population boom going on..lol.
all sounds tickety boo :D I don't always read every post anymore too much going on in here and real life!

I'm not really here btw :shh: ;)

usually there is someone who run's the group or is one of the loud mum's that spots a newbie and will say hello when you turn up. If not just sit near some others and complement someone of their pram/baby/baby's outfit etc :)

right off to bed, night all xx

it depends on the group itself. at ours, we go in, katie goes mad and plays with whatever toys are set out. i sit down and say hello, pay my dues, have a bit of a chat to the girls i know. then go play with katie for a bit. then they bring out a snack for kids (tea and biccies for mummies),then they do organised play - like singing and dancing, playing instrumetns, reading a story, or with the big parcute etc. if its a nice day we might go outside. ireally enjoy going, and so does katie!!! we go to ours in the monrin aswell, so up early n outta the house for 9am again!! i did it on tuesday, no reason why i cant tomorrow!

Edit: NO!!! I was bricking it the first few times i went. still get nervous if i know the couple girls i sit with arent gonna be there, but then i just play more with katie!

*hugs* Mooki.. We really need that mother and baby only retreat to open, don't we? :o

I can't stay awake any longer.. Rhys dispatched to Daddy for feeding. I'll be back at 5am, no doubt!

Tigs, if you're catching up during middle of the night expressing, please let us know how Andrew is doing :)

    Night all xx
  • I'm crap at going to new places when I am on my own, would be OK if I had someone to go with, but alas I am a loner :p
Dylan would need to stay awake, so I have someone to talk to !!
