Everything okay mooki? Just tired, or had a bad day? *hugs* either way xx

Okay, i've come out of hiding just for a minute!

Here is an example of my mother's behaviour today. Leila had her injections and squealed (and cried real tears) and as soon as the doctor had put the little plasters on, my mum said 'give her to me'. So for the 1st time in my life I stood up to her (although I didnt give it a second thought at the time) and I said 'no, i'm holding her, she needs her mummy'.

I think my mum was in shock cos she's used to me just complying with her demands for an easy life and so I dont upset her.

I think having my own daughter has given me the strength to stand up to my mum because I know my baby better than anyone and would move heaven and earth to protect her.

My mum also woke baby up when she was asleep just because she wanted to see her (I had nipped out to supermarket as she was sleeping).

She also kept asking for a bottle to feed her and looked all wounded when I said I wanted to breast feed her.

Other than that everything is okay, just tired and snappy I guess xxxxx

How are things with you? we don't 'see' you much these days (or maybe we just have a million more pages between visits now? :p

    Hi Sami

Things are great - thanks for asking. I just lost the thread when my lappy broke and then we went on our hols.

I tried to catch up but eventually gave up :D.

Archie has also decided he can sometimes sleep in the day without mummy to keep him company so I'm not on so much in the days these days, I guess I'm probably more of a lurker now as I don't oftenget time to read AND post.

Loving all these gorgeous new babies though - I'm sure there must be an MSE population boom going on..lol.

well, i forced him to take the extra 1 1/2 oz, and then he puked. just to show me he knows what he is doing i guess!! lol. :p there you go mum! so he is all cleaned and changed and dozing away again in his moses basket. just gotta hike it all upstairs on my own now!!

Katie fell asleep in her highchair yesterday at lunchtime cos i was feeding christopher. bad mommy - but quite cute to look at them dozing away in random places. lol

  • thanks for the welcome girls (and boys)... i'm off to bed for a couple of hours before Alf is up for his next feed...

dont all babies look uber-cute in slightly too big clothes??? was expecting a huge baby so didnt get too many newborn bits.. that jumper was very MSE - £2 in the sale at tesco! got it in 12-18months too... :-)

    anyway.. tearing myself away... slowly!

(tongue-tie - never asked to look under his tongue for scars... wont be doing so in the future either)

Mooki it's such a shame your mum can't see that she is upsetting you :(
I know my mum wishes she could have more time with Ed but as I'm BFing and Chris doesn't like sharing Grandma very much she doesn't get much of a look in with him :p
she does annoy me by saying he's a mummies boy though
