  • Just popping in to say hello. I've had a nasty cold of late, so i've been doing things alot slower, so no time to come on a lot less :o I've had to rely on 16yo the past few days a bit more :o

I seem to be getting better, so endeavour to return more prominently shortly. Sorry :D

Have I missed anything exciting? :D

    Catch you soon :)

    :hello:

You've been missed! :o Hope all is well in the Moon household, aside from lurgy bugs :(

As for news, most exciting is we are expecting a new mini weezl, eta 1st April 2010 :D

There are quite a few negative body issues rearing their heads atm (but we're finding it good to talk, I think) and your kind words regarding muffin tops were called upon earlier. However, Bruno made a stirling effort in your absence ;)

Hope you're feeling better soon xx
  • Knock, knock.

Hello everyone. I'm on the pregnancy thread at the mo, due on the 28th of this month and I have a couple of queries if anyone could help please.

1, I recently read something about nettle or fennel tea being good for milk production.

Tesco sell a combined nettle and fennel and I wondered when it was best to start and how many cups a day I should have.

2, Also, how do people manage to go to the toilet when say for instance you are out shopping with a pram. Do the baby changing areas have a toilet, do you go in disabled loos, as there's more room?

Probably very silly to ask but I've not seen anyone else asking (maybe 'cos nobody is as daft as me). Must pop into my local shopping centre and check out the loo situation.

    Bearx

    Thanks, ladies.

    Congrats fitz - he's gorgeous :j

Bear - if there are no parent and child toilets, I use the disabled ones. You can't leave baby unattended outside while you go and it's not possible to go to the loo and hold a baby at the same time.
Here I go again on my own....

Wow weezl, tremendous!!! I hope you're taking iron supplements, 2 that close can really deplete your stores... From what I remember you saying... ;)

Did you guess why I knew? ;)

Carla, nope, I’m not jealous of Weezl either.. Extremely happy for her, but not in the slightest bit jealous. Was telling OH earlier and we worked out that’s like me finding out this week that I’m pregnant again (Rhys being 16wks and me being 4wks preg – weezl, is that right?) – no thankyou! (prays everyone reads that right and understands I’m talking hypothetical maths!)

Elle I think it's the equivalent of you having your LMP in a fortnight :)
thanks for the welcome girls (and boys)... i'm off to bed for a couple of hours before Alf is up for his next feed...
(tongue-tie - never asked to look under his tongue for scars... wont be doing so in the future either)

    welcome fitzilian and Alfie :)

DH works in that field and says that they usually wait til at least age 3 to operate for tongue-tie, since it has to be a GA due to the nature of the fibrous material that has to be cut. They usually check with speech and language therapists to see if the speech is in any way unusual before referring for surgery.

Anyhow, do just let me know if I can ask him anything useful for you. xxx

Jvic, I'm up and about if you wanna PM about rhyme time, but perhaps you had a lovely night with your pals and drinkies, so I quite understand if you can't face it!!!! :)

Thanks for replying. This was rapidly the conclusion I was coming to. It's ok if you go out with your mum or a friend and they can look after the pram but I wouldn't want to leave my little one outside or try and struggle with my jeans while holding him.
  • I can go to the toilet while holding the baby?

(OH has said that if the NHS won't allow me a gastric balloon, then he'll pay for me to have one privately, assuming it isn't too dangerous. Yay!!)

    Hello :)

We need to speak in code now, cos you're not always sure who's listening :)

A couple of months back I had a BFP and now I have an official EDD of (I kid you not): 01/04/10.

*Stands back waiting for gasps of horror*

Blimey!!! Lots of congratulations (and a bit of jelousy too ;) ) , but blimey all the same! :) How are you feeling?

I've not caught up on anything else, so I hope everyone is ok!
