seth woke for a feed at 3am, and that was it!! :j actually feeling kind of awake today for once.
so it was you that stole my sleeping babe! :p
I can go to the toilet while holding the baby?

(OH has said that if the NHS won't allow me a gastric balloon, then he'll pay for me to have one privately, assuming it isn't too dangerous. Yay!!)
eeww feelie :p baby near a toilet - too much for my germaphobia to handle.

    yey for generous hubby :)

    Hi Elle

I actually feed him for ages! I give him what he'll take, then wind him and try again. I keep going until he really won't take anymore - deffo 30mins sometimes 45 (poor boy)

The powder formula was way better than the ready made stuff - he went to bed at 11pm, woke at 2.30am and took 90mls :T Then woke again at 6.30am and had another 90mls!!!!!!

Must be nicer or something - most he'd ever taken was about 60ml.

I'm a happy mummy today - have been doing housework stuff since 7am while he slept on the playmat and he's just stirring now.

He's got a sticky eye so better go and sort that out.

I'm going to take him out in the pram later (on my own )
good luck, I'm sure you'll be fine :)
His tummy will be getting bigger, when babies are born they have a tum the size of a pea and it takes a week or 2 to be almost the size of a golf ball ;)

I don't think anyone replied about taking him the races, I'd say he will be fine but how do you feel? also will you be able to express to keep supply/ relieve fullness?

Question regarding the discussion on bottles yesterday, If you're going out and make it before you go to put in the changing bag, how do you avoid the 50 degrees point where as someone said the bacteria start to grow?

Good luck! Can you just put the car seat in the bottom of a normal trolley if all else fails, or do you need to buy too much stuff for that?

Their trolleys are usually the "small" ones - I might try it if it was a normal deep one, but I wouldn't risk it in the shallow ones...
Even then the big trolleys don't have much room once you put a baby carseat in them LOL

I just don't worry about it... But then I only put the water in the bottles and add the powder just as I am abot to give it to her - I decided it was easier to spend the money and buy one of those thingies where you can put the powder in before you go out - that way I just open one of the compartments and add it to the water and shake like mad! :D

Morning everyone, i'm having a down day today just took my pool down and de birthed the room i was meant to use just feel like crying now as i never got to use it. My milk has come in too so my boobs are like two very painfull bowling balls at the moment. Bubs will latch but wont suck so we have been giving him bottles so he gets enough nutrition. I expressed some milk last night but he didnt seem keen will keep trying today if he wont latch then i will stick with expressing i dont mind doing it but i will have to invest in a good electric pump any recommendations ???

    :-) x

Hey lolly - sorry u are feeling down. Not had a chance to read ur birth story yet, will try later on.
I couldn't get Jack to latch on either and when he did, he didn't suck!

Boots have the TT CTN Electric Pump for half price £40 instead of £80. (thanks to Sami for that)

I have a insulated section on my boots bag which is supposed to keep it warm so I guess if you put it on when it was really hot it would stay above 50 degrees.

    I feel great!
I've got no supply and no fullness so that's not a problem!
IL's think it's too much so we are going to Cheshire Oaks instead.

MrsT - I did quote u as well, not sure where it has gone!
I could use the few measley drops of boobie juice for something then. It's not even worth feeding it to him, it's so dismal.
A very busy Yummy Mummy to a 1 year old gorgeous boy :smileyhea

Where does the time go?

do keep trying him if that's what you want? Feelie's LO took a few months before realising how to do it.
can you have a nice bath with babe? you boobs will prob leak like made in the warmth to Joey wouldn't need to work hard to get it.
Are you eating and drinking ok? I do worry about the busy mummies not finding time to eat :)

I've got the new TT electric pump its half price at £40 from boots online, lots of parts to it but its nice n gentle on you nips ;)

Stick with it hun - and keep trying - Feely managed to get Toby latched on I think it was something like over 8 weeks old and BF after that (expressed before) - I had to do a while of expressing as well thanks to oral thrush and all manner of fun but Alex went back on the boob no problem (well - a bit of persistence but no major problems...) so it CAN be done :)
I think Feely found it easier to start with to feed toby lying down? (Feely correct me if I'm wrong!) so maybe that's something to try?
I DO think buying a good pump anyway is worth the money - I have the Medela Swing and personally wouldn't have any problem recommending it :) I think it's great! I did have to buy a larger "funnel" though but I do have HUUUUGE boobies and large nipples :) (Think last time I checked they were 34GG/H... MUST go get measured again...)

Oh ladies... weight apart etc on the bra front... have any of you found that you have gone up in the chest measurement (not the cup one) on bra's after having babies? Having checked then there isn't any more meat on my ribcage (it's all belly and butt!) but I've gone up to a 34! Has my ribcage expanded? Is it permanent? (I kinda hope it is... it's hard to find 32GG/H bra's and if I go up to a 34 I'd probably drop a cup size meaning I could find boulder holders easier :D)
