this is what makes it appealing to me.. i just wanna see who will actually survive, especially in season 3/4 it gets a bit crappy. The chairs are pretty nice at PCC though my only issue is not having a shower, i've surived for 3 days not having shower but was at a festival. It's going to get very stinky after 2 days :( if people dont take baby wipes going to be a problem

I couldn't do this to save my life. So good luck to you:T
Places like superdrug and other cheap chemists, sell deodorant wipes, if that is any help to you:D

I'm still stunned to find out that Gremlins is a 15:eek:

Anyway, I haven't seen this film yet, have just received it in post after buying it onine for a few quid but how about The Bucket List? Two great actors and a subject matter to be discussed from a lot of angles.

Some ideas off the top of my head, most if not all should be suitable for your film club. The one's with '#' at the begining are ones I think would make a decent first film...

    Babe
    The Dark Crystal
    # Labyrinth
    The Wizard of Oz
    Casablanca
    To Kill a Mockingbird
    Rocky (the first film)
Close Encounters of thr 3rd Kind
Star Wars (Episode 4: A New Hope)
    # Who Framed Roger Rabbit
    12 Angry Men
    Groundhog Day
    Stand By Me
    Jumanji

    Hope that helps :)

Guys, have you ever managed to get one of your local cinemas to start doing these screeners?

I've got cineworld and odeons close to me but they've never had any tickets for screeners.

Is there something pro-active that can be done about this, or is it simiply as it is?

Yup they should review that rating - compared to some things which are PG & 12 nowadays, Gremlins is fairly mild. May not be suitable for younger kids, but it should at least be recalssified as a 12 (i think gremlins 2 was a 12 aswell) Classic film :)

btw. To Kill a Mockingbird & 12 Angry Men are all time classics & ones that the film club should definately show! lots of discussion material there.

I don't suppose there is any harm having a quiet word with a manager. I find it's easier to speak to the manager of my local Cineworld than the Odeon, which is far larger so I tend to speak to team leaders there.

Ultimately, it is up to the film promoters where the films are shown though. But if you do speak to a manager, let us know how you get on. Good luck:T
  • hi, i hope this isnt seen as chat, but if i post a quick question here and someone answers it might benefit all the other people wondering too....

ive just read that some of the codes are in the guardian and that u need to take the page or you may get turned away. Are all codes from the guardian? or can u still get in just by presenting the printed ticket and ID?

i dont want to turn up to the film and not be able to get in!!
    Thanks
