hi, i hope this isnt seen as chat, but if i post a quick question here and someone answers it might benefit all the other people wondering too....

ive just read that some of the codes are in the guardian and that u need to take the page or you may get turned away. Are all codes from the guardian? or can u still get in just by presenting the printed ticket and ID?

i dont want to turn up to the film and not be able to get in!!
    Thanks
    xxxx

Not all codes are from The Guardian. A lot of codes are from magazines and newspapers; some say you need to take a page from a mag/paper but even then it is rare to be asked for it especially as the code will have appeared somewhere else too.

All you need to do is go to the people who take your ticket, not the box office, they will take the printout and tell you which screen to go to.

    Agreed.

While we're on the subject of these kinds of posts...

is there really any point to posts saying people have returned two tickets to their local cinema?
From experience, they tend to over-allocate anyway so are two returns going to necessarily mean 2 openings at the cinema.

Moving onto better news...my movie mover and shaker friend has invited me to a sneak preview of Wall Street 2, (aka Money Never Sleeps).

Can't wait for it and...can't wait for dinner as I havent eaten since breakfast.

    lunch is for wimps ;)

As far as I'm concerned the only things aside from codes that should be posted in codes only are amendments to the date if it changes, changes or clarification of venue or cancellation info. None of this I've returned two tickets, no posts giving direct links or updates on which cinemas still have tickets. The less posts on codes only, the easier it will be to check to see what has been posted and to see if any tickets till available. That's my opinion for what it's worth.:p

    It is for real!!

Normally with Theatre/Concert tickets you exchange them at the Box Office for real tickets, I've never had a problem including for 2 concerts at the O2, one with seats next to the stage, the others weren't so great, but hey they are free and there are people sitting all around you who have paid for those same seats!!.

Just get there on time and you should get in fine, they don't always ask for ID, but make sure you have some just in case.

Hope you have a good night!! :)

I can't find anything in the previous six pages or so but is there a discssion thread for the free concert/theatre shows? I know when something like this finally hits Liverpool I wanna chat about it.

That's true, well i'll sleep through season 3 [very shabby season] so that's alright.. am not sure if i can sleep in a cinema with the loudness. i'll keep you guys posted when am in there though.

I've not seen a discussion thread for Theatre/Concert only the codes thread, thought I'd answer the question as it was here.

Had an email from ShowFF with a questionnaire saying they were updating their processes for show tickets, one of the questions was closest area for tickets and Liverpool was on the list, so maybe they are going to be doing more outside of London and coming your way.
    :hello:
