Due to the capacity of the cinema we can only accept the first 280 people to arrive on the day so make sure you get there early otherwise you may be disappointed (doors open at 9am).
You will need to sign the attached document confirming you are over the age of 18 and that you accept the terms & conditions stated. This document will need to be brought with you on the day and you will not be admitted unless you have a signed copy with you.
·Please find below important information regarding the marathon:
·Location: Prince Charles Cinema, 7 Leicester Place, London, WC2
·Date: Monday 13th - Thursday 16th September 2010
·Arrivals: please arrive at 9am for registration
·Time: the marathon will begin on at 10am on Monday 13th and finish in the evening of Thursday 16th
·All 121 episodes of Lost will be played back to back with 15 minute breaks every four hours
You will need to bring your own food and drink although hot food and alcohol are prohibited. We recommend fruit, sandwiches and snack bars. We also recommend that you bring a bottle of water with you. Snacks and non-alcoholic drinks will be available to purchase throughout the marathon.
i cant decide if you're brave, insane, odd or just a huge lost fan
are you really going to sit thru all 121 episodes?0 -

One of my favourite films of all time (and I showed it to my son when he was about 7), but it's packed with swearing and general filth, full frontal nudity, and in particular has those pretty explicit oral sex scenes....
erm I dont remember them....I do remember the swearing and the full frontal nude scene tho.. cannot for the life of me recall any explicit oral sex scenes???What Would Bill Buchanan Do?0 -

I say it's going to be full of students [i'm one of them], die-hard fans and a mixture of people that never watched an episode of LOST.0 -

i just dont think i could possibly do it, 1 cos im not a lost fan and 2 cos its a flipping long to sit in a cinema on pretty uncomfy chairs. first snorer gets drawn on i reckon! haha
i dont even think i could watch all of The Wonder Years (by far the best tv programme EVER - FACT) episodes back to back and they were only 25 mins long at 116 episodes never mind Lost! :rotfl:

First film is usually something by Studio Ghibli...normally Howls Moving Castle to get them thinking...and while I love Ghibli after three years I'm not sure I can face it again!
Open to suggestions....
Some ideas off the top of my head, most if not all should be suitable for your film club. The one's with '#' at the begining are ones I think would make a decent first film...
Babe
The Dark Crystal
# Labyrinth
The Wizard of Oz
Casablanca
To Kill a Mockingbird
Rocky (the first film)
Close Encounters of thr 3rd Kind
Star Wars (Episode 4: A New Hope)
# Who Framed Roger Rabbit
12 Angry Men
Groundhog Day
Stand By Me
Jumanji
Hope that helps0 -
