I take it that you weren't around in the 70's/80's?
I thought it was quite gritty, but then I have seen Joan live and lived the era, lol!
You weren't at the Norwich screening were you? Cos I saw two peeps creep out from that:rotfl:"Sealed Pot challenge" member No. 138

GB is a mere babe in arms aren't you Ben
I really would have loved to have seen The Runaways last night being a fan of Joan Jett but sadly my transport plans went awry:mad:
I envy you seeing JJ live:T0 -
With regards to the Avatr Inception debate, fwiw my opinion to go see Avatar.
Not because Avatar is a better film then inception - far from. I thought Inception was an excellent film, and had me gripped throughout, whereas Avatar is an average, predictable, jumpy & too overlly moralistic a film. However I went back to see it again (paid for) because the 3D is AMAZING! I've seen other 3D film before & after, both ones that were made for 3D & ones where 3D was an afterthought - and none of them match up to Avatar.
So I would go see Avatar just for the 3D - coz you may not get another chance!
Haven't seen Inception and don't intend to(Might have gone if I could have got it free) but just have to agree about the 3D in Avatar being outstanding! I saw The Last Airbender and the 3d was in no way comparable to that of Avatar!"Sealed Pot challenge" member No. 138

I went to see the most wonderful film earlier this week.
The Secret in Their Eyes won Best Foreign Language Oscar 2010 and deservedly so. It's a fabulous film and if you get the opportunity to watch it, I urge you do so.

No way man, it's not better than Heartbreaker is it?!“It was only a sunny smile, and little it cost in the giving, but like morning light it scattered the night and made the day worth living.”

I know I'm in the minority as I enjoyed The Last Airbender but it didn't merit being in 3D. I took my glasses off at one time just to make sure it actually was 3D.0 -

I have absolutely no idea what on earth you could possibly mean SS. :rotfl:
I thought about this, I really did. Which is why I haven't posted until today but it's down to personal taste as the type of film is so totally different.
If I'm in the mood for a ligh-hearted comedy then Heartbreaker wins but for a more serious and gritty film then Secrets in Their Eyes gets the vote.
I'm now trying to work out where the heck Inception comes in all this0 -
