serendipity2706, I have no problems with being called on a typo :o(although at 4 o'clock in the morning surely the odd spelling mistake is understandable) but did you really need to do so on the codes only - no discussion thread? :(

Yeah i think it's a waste of time pulling someone up on a typo and annoying for people who think they are getting a code but get a load of waffle about spelling who cares half the population can't spell lol, most people are just glad that people bother to post the codes.

I can't complain about being pulled on the typo as I have done it myself but only when the post is littered with errors and text speak plus no punctuation at all making it impossible to read. It was the way it was done, as you said sending alerts to everyone who then find it isn't a code.

    Sorry folks:o

Avatar is an average, predictable, jumpy & too overlly moralistic a film. However I went back to see it again (paid for :o ) because the 3D is AMAZING! I've seen other 3D film before & after, both ones that were made for 3D & ones where 3D was an afterthought - and none of them match up to Avatar.

So I would go see Avatar just for the 3D - coz you may not get another chance!

Without wishing to sway your decision, I would say this about Avatar. If you have the opportunity to see it in 3D then that is the best way to see it especially if it is your first viewing. It is a beautiful film to see, actually it is stunning. You won't get the same effect watching it at home on DVD.

Having said that Inception will leave your little mind thinking when you come out!:p

Okay, if anything, I'll say go for both. Or if you already have Avatar on DVD, go to see Inception. Your choice.

Having weighed up the options and everyone's advice and guidance (thanks to you all by the way!) I have decided....

Despite having the DVD it would be silly to NOT watch Avatar in 3D as this is the way it was meant to be viewed...so with the Odeon very generously offering 40% discount on tickets and a £10 gift voucher to use up it means all four of us can go for about a tenner...bargain. :T It should cheer the kids up after their first couple of days at school - even though the school I work at have been back a week already!

Still have vouchers to use so that might be Inception next week! (then again I think I'll save the vouchers for when the Odeon offer ends in October and actually pay for Inception...convinced I'm going to enjoy it!) :)
Valuable life advice: never play chicken with a lion...the lion will ALWAYS win!

    Good choice!
I didnt get to see Avatar the first time round. But watched it today at the Imax and was stunned by the amazing 3D effects.

Difficult to compare with Inception - different genre. Although the effects were pretty awesome. Maybe I need to watch that at the Imax too?!

    Enjoy both films ;)

Who saw Tamara Drewe this morning? I did but won't give away any storyline as there are people yet to see it on Tuesday.

I must say that I thoroughly enjoyed it, so did some friends who saw it at same cinema. Sadly the audience was rather thin on the ground possibly because people will go on Tuesday instead.

I've had a text from another friend a short while ago and she and her companions found it very entertaining.

I went on to see Dinner for Schmuks which was okay, fine for a Sunday afternoon but I'm glad I had an Odeon voucher to use.

My next freebie is Cyrus on Wednesday plus free lager and cheese:D

Many thanks to the wonderful staff at Birmingham Childrens Hospital caring for my tiny and very poorly grandson who was born at 29 weeks. Thanks to them he is getting a little stronger every day.:A:A:A
