I think it depends on the which jobsworth is in charge on the day because they charged £1.00 for the glasses at Odeon Kingston for the Cats and Dogs screening but never charged at the same cinema for the Last Airbender screening

That's not right and you should complain. Don't forget that we are providing a service for the promoters. The screenings are advertised as free, they must provide the necessary equipment for us to to carry out our side of the deal (so to speak). If they were going to charge for the 3D specs, they would put that somewhere, probably on the email if not the ticket.

I'm not saying that people are deliberately trying to make a fast buck, it sounds like a genuine mistake. Think of all the times people have gone to a screening and there has been a !!!!-up of some sort?

I doubt that you'd get a reply but if Seeff or Showff issued the tickets, I would email them and tell them that sometimes a charge has been made and ask for their explanation.

I've got so many pair from all the 3D previews I've seen and always have some in my bag so I would have some to hand if I was asked to pay. But on principle I would ask to see a Team Leader/Manager regarding it.

The cinemas that show the previews are paid by the company promoting the film and the 3D glasses are provided for the audience.:(

How do you get these tickets? I joined MySky ages ago, but I'm not a Sky customer. I login, click on Rewards, as I assume that's where the free tickets are going to be, but get a message that I need to be a Sky customer.

Is the poster 'turniplord' wrong to say its for ANYONE & that you don't need to be a Sky customer?
  • Thought Going the Distance was a good laugh. I laughed twice at the Panda clip. I thought it might be on You Tube, and it is!!! Still funny watching it again.

Hope everyone is doing fine :).

Hi, i'm not a sky customer and managed to get tickets - if you have registered on mysky just put your email at the bottom and type in cloud as the password

of if that isn't the page you can see goto this address:

    media-promotions .com /skytv_ticket_booking/ index_welcome.php

obviously delete the spaces - there you can put in your email then select the film (i'm gonna update the other post now)

    :)
  • Hi - I can't get it to work either. I'm registered with Sky but it's telling me 'You're currently unable to view your Sky account details. To view your account information, you must first verify your Sky iD. ' which means I have to enter the deatils used to purchase Sky. I have not purchased Sky so I don't know what to do. Everytime I try the link (whilst being logged in with Sky), it says on a white page

'You must access the Sky screening booking system through your My Sky account. You must be a Sky customer to access this offer.

You are being redirected back to My Sky. Please login and follow the links from there to the screening in order to continue.
    '

Where do you say we enter our email address?

    Thanks.

Panda clip??? Sounds interesting. I missed this film. I did have tickets but each time it clashed with a film at a cinema that was easier for me to get to.

I used Cineworld codes today to see Grown-ups which was better than I expected and Salt which I really enjoyed. Surprisingly so especially as I am not a fan of Angelina Jolie and whilst I don't think she needed excellent acting skills for this film, she was good in the role.:T

I take it that there will be a sequel from the way it ended.

I was going to post the link, but won't spoil it for you. It's just an aside in the movie, but it had me creased with laughter.

I did say that Salt was good. Yes, if sequel, will probably have a trilogy (just so as they can rake their monies' worth).

    Grown-ups, I haven't heard about. I'll take a look.

    Edit to add:

Upon reflection, I do remember the trailers for it, but wasn't too sure about it.
