  • Hi
No voucher codes, but 40% off all Odeon cinemas until 14th October, if that's any use? :D

Who saw Tamara Drewe this morning?

    I did (yesterday now).

Enjoyed it more than I thought I would. Jessica Barden as Jody was the highlight for me - a definate star in the making.

Good film - great cast - beautiful location - predicatable ending but some unusual twists
  • Due to the London underground strikes later I've just cancelled showfilmfirst tickets for showings tonight:
Going the Distance @ Vue North Finchley @ 18:30
    It's A Wonderful Life @ Prince Charles Cinema @ 20:30

I can't remember the codes used to obtain the original tickets unfortunately - hope this is helpful nonetheless

    Enjoy x

Just got this email from SHFF, some london peeps might want to try their luck

Are you writing about film? We have a few place available to an informal film industry reception launching the autumn season line-up (Oct Dec) in UK cinemas.

There will be a live presentation by Radio 1’s Matt Edmondson and a sneaky taster of autumn highlights for film.
The presentation is at 9.00 for 9.15am start on Monday 13 September 2010 in the West End. Max duration is an hour, and there’ll be plenty of coffee and croissants to keep you fuelled for the rest of the morning!
We only have a few places for this, although we will have a much bigger forthcoming presentation later on this year which we will be writing to you about!
If you can make the presentation on Monday morning at 9am, please RSVP to Press@showfilmfirst.com with a link to the blogg or website that you would write above the forthcoming line up on.
Very sorry but places are very limited so please only respond if you can definitely make it. We will let you know by THURSDAY if you have been allocated a place.
    Best wishes
    Kate

I saw Tamara Drewe yesterday and have to say I found it 'OK'. Had no expectations and was just looking forward to a chilax with OH on a Sunday morning (our Sundays are normally spent on football sidelines!)

OH was not amused when someone told him it was a 'chick flick' however, he did have some laugh out loud moments through the film and quite enjoyed it!

Next 'freebie' is Avatar on Thursday thanks to vouchers and 40% off meaning I only have to pay 30p for 4 of us...not quite free but close enough for me!!:rotfl:
Valuable life advice: never play chicken with a lion...the lion will ALWAYS win!

I really enjoyed the movie! a lot better than I expected. I like the unusual twists, quite shocking at times. Thoroughly enjoyed it :)
