I don't like this new thing of making a film in 2D then adding the 3D effects on later, it doesn't work! I particularly noticed it in Clash of the Titans, that was a film crying out to be made in true 3D but ended up being a totally wasted opportunity.:(
I feel Sorcerers Apprentice was an opportunity wasted for the 3D treatment....Disney really missed a trick on that one in my opinion!0 -

i didn't think i would enjoy but i'm glad i went. i never would have gone otherwise as it didn't seem like the type of film i would like. but as it was free like you say it's worth the risk. i may see more drama type films now maybe i'm growing up a bit:(I have dyslexia, so get used to my spelling and grammarMortgage pay off date 11/2028. I like to see all types of films and thats the beauty of it that you maybe wouldn't have bothered with something and it turns out to be the best film that you have seen for ages and vice versa.0 -

I totally agree. I've opened my mind with the free preview thing and decided to see all genre and I've rarely been disappointed. In actual fact the films I have been disappointed in have been films I probably would have wanted to see. For example, What Just Happened was a huge disappointment to me, the title summed it up for me when it ended.
Funny People was the unfunniest films I have ever seen. And most recently The Switch didn't live up to the description of RomCom; far too little Com for both my friend and I.
At home I really can't concentrate on foreign language films or anything with subtitles, I always look away and miss something important. But in a cinema where I can concentrate I've found a new passion and have loved films like Gomorrah, Waltz With Bashir and of course Heartbreaker.
The biggest surprise to me was a film called Anvil:The Story of Anvil. It isn't my kind of music but I felt so strongly that if they'd have had an Anvil merchandise stand, I would have bought stuff there and then when I came out. A friend who saw it in another cinema told me he actually checked out their albums online when he got home. That's the effect it had on people. I would never have gone to see it if I'd have had to pay. But the enthusiasm of the guys involved got to you. That's the power of film imo.0 -

Sadly, I didn't get to see Sorcerer's Apprentice although I dearly wanted to but I was surprised it wasn't in 3D. That kind of film would be perfect. Very strange decision by Disney.0 -
I have a problem. I am at an all day sesh tomorrow celebrating a house warming and have a freebie for Tamara Drew on Sunday. Do I slow it down and def go see, or do I enjoy myself tomorrow and put it down to "ones I am happy to miss" and pass back the tickets. I've seen the posters and have read certain things on another site, and am unsure. Hate to miss a goodie, but am unsure on this one.
PS - Thanks to the person who helped me get these tickets - I am not ungrateful!0 -
I must say the Runaways was up there in the top 5 worst films I have sat through along with MacAulay Culkin's Party Monster. It just seemed to be a pile of nonsense pieced together with wooden acting and the odd song you knew. Glad it was free! :wall:0

serendipity2706, I have no problems with being called on a typo
(although at 4 o'clock in the morning surely the odd spelling mistake is understandable) but did you really need to do so on the codes only - no discussion thread?
