Its just 'cos I live about 15 miles from the silverlink so I dont want to drive all the way there and get turned away! Thanks for the help and Il be sure to give you a wave back
i'm sure you will get in, or at the most have to sit in the single seats since people seem to leave room between groups of people (guilty sometimes too lol) and i wonder if i can guess where 15 miles away is haha0 -

Just got back from watching The Switch with my 12yr old daughter. My opinion was it was nothing special and a typical chick flick contender. Daughter had a slightly different opinion...although we both thought the little boy was fab
My daughter and I have a thing where we rate films out of ten when we have seen them together, so...
My rating 6/10
Her rating 9/10 (this year for her Toy Story 3D and Sorcerers Apprentice get 10/10!)0 -

Didn't help the fact that I wasn't feeling too great when I watched The Switch on Sunday. I nearly dozed off at one point, and that's just not like me. If I had watched it on TV, I'd have turned over to another channel or just switched the TV off completely. Perhaps showing why it's called The Switch.
Watched The Expendables (with free tickets) after that, and as I explained to Pooch that I didn't know who was more worse for their mumbling - Stallone or Rourke. Other than the rubber lips look getting in the way of comprehensible speech, and the fact that I would have liked to have seen more from Bruce Willis, I thoroughly enjoyed the non-stop action despite feeling less than great all the way through the movie.
I also have to confess that due to having more vouchers to use up (by today), I went to see, yep you guessed it - Inception (each viewing having been free - don't ask). Okay, I'm addicted. Can you imagine how many times I'll watch it on DVD. I think I've been officially incepted as I remember hearing the word Inception in one of my dreams - or was that a dream within a dream within a dream, etc... I'm unsure. Think I'll have to watch it again to get it further into my unconscious mind - lol.Invented tradition: Couponology

I have also just got back from seeing The Switch and although my husband fell asleep a few times (had to wake him because of his snoring!)
I actually quite enjoyed it. I agree with the other posts about it being a typical chick flick but I quite like them (sad I know!:o)
As for the lil boy I though he was a great.0 -

I have to confess I must be one of the few people left who hasn't seen Inception...desperately want to and almost did at Sheffield last week (when they didn't have The Last Exorcism) but the screening was full
Have some Odeon tickets to use but can't make my mind up whether to watch Inception or Avatar (another one I didn't get around to...have the dvd and haven't got round to that yet either...it is hard finding a spare three hours in your life sometimes!)
I would ask for your advice as to which to watch Tibbs, but sadly I feel you are slightly biased lol :rotfl:0 -

I would still give a non-biased account - honestly gov - lol. After three screenings of Inception and one of Avatar, it's just my personal opinion that makes me prefer the former. I'm seduced by the music, the storyline, the layering, and the action (in no particular order). The re-release of Avatar is meant to have some unseen footage, so that will pull peeps into the cinema.
I would say go with what you want to see personally. Take a look at the trailers and read the synopsis.
I agree that time is something we have to use wisely, but I'm glad I've spent several hours watching both movies.
Okay, if anything, I'll say go for both. Or if you already have Avatar on DVD, go to see Inception. Your choice.Invented tradition: Couponology

I would prefer Inception over Avatar any day the story in Avatar was very weak and i found Inception much more interesting you are still thinking about Inception a couple of hours later whereas i think that Avatar was too hyped up.0 -

Some people like one of those movies more than the other, some people like both equally, and some people just don't rate either. It all boils down to personal opinion really.
Essentially, with no personal opinion involved, both are original and unique stories and both have strengths and weaknesses. You won't find a movie that 'fits all' - there will always be someone who just doesn't see what all the fuss is about, while yet others rave incessantly.Invented tradition: Couponology
