    I gave up chocolate for lent last year which I managed better than I expected.

    I haven't given up anything for lent this year - perhaps I will do so on a delayed basis later on!!

  • Hypno i was thinking that even though the start of lent was Wed it is the first sunday of lent so a good starting point!!x
  • I gave up chocolate for lent this year and then on the first day blew it by eating a load of jaffa cakes - haven't looked back since! On a positive note I gave up alcohol on 1st Jan and have had only one slip off the wagon so one drink in 7 weeks I'm fairly impressed with!! Intend to keep going as long as I can as I don't miss that groggy feeling in the morning whereas chocolate - :EasterBun

  • Just been on line banking and transferred £20 to my dog fund as i canc my pet insurance so i am saving it every month instead! £20 to car ins for Oct and £10 to holiday fund!! :j
    Had dinner in work came to £1.75 faggotts peas and mash and gravy!! yum!!!:D I counted the cals!!
    I didnt buy food or lunch as i am only in today and tom and tom we have a buffett!x:)

    Oh lucky you with pay day tomorrow - I think mine is Friday - always last day of the month!

    Dog insurance - my big guilt - she is 16 - I pay £16.50 a month - DH says keep ins, I say cancel. Wont put money away - need all I have to make up to min. payments. But well done you for being good and saving it every month.
