Loved life a wee bit too much!

Hi i have been a member here since an explosion of a lightbulb in March this year! The advice on this site has been a lifeline! I have £34k on 9 different credit cards and £23k loans!! (TOLD YOU I LOVED LIFE TO MUCH!) or spending rather!! All our money goes on repayments and living costs and there is nothing left over but the funny thing is since March i am the happiest i have ever been! We have had fantastic free days at the beach/ park etc, and i really appreciate everything now where as before it was a bit easy come easy go!!.
I will pay back all that i have borrowed and i am confident taht my habits have changed for good!!
Thanks to you all!!:beer:xx

It's great to see such enthusiasm. You could pop up a statement of affairs (SOA) and you'll get a lot of suggestions on that.

As you have been lurking you will have already picked up loads of ideas from the boards, I am sure, but head over to the old style board to get your shopping down to as little as possible, join in the £10 a day challenge, send off for freebies on the freebies board, do quidco, scratchcards blah blah blah.

There is loads here that will help get rid of those cards - have you been putting them in the snowball calculator on www.whatsthecost.com ? if not, head over there right now! Even without the mortgage figure you can put the other debts in there.......

Or perhaps they are in debt, and buying expensive lunches is part of the reason why...they just haven't had their own lightbulb moment yet.

  • Beat the Debt, so v well done so far. I love your enthusiasm about it all. I too have similar unsecured debts to you, and am also confident about paying them off in due course. I am actually realising thats its the working on the attitude, self belief etc that is the thing that needs greater effort from me for me to deal with the journey and the way you come accross is how I aim to be much of the time in my quest Thank you and good luck to you!
