Hi BTD. You're doing brilliantly!
Weather here still good, no need of heating - trying to hold out til November. Mind you our fuel DD is £197 a month!! In first flush of debtbusting last year, switched to E-On, they set the DD too low while they "looked at our consumption patterns" and lo, we ended up underpaying by £600 over the (admittedly cold) winter. Plus everyone else in my house never ever switches a light off, I go round doing it but my OH is the real problem - every night he leaves the bathroom and hall lights on - IT DRIVES ME MAD!!
Take care

Heating off now! Got to warm!!!!!! I must have acclimatised to the cold!
Saw a lovely hottie bottie in tesco today ,blue with a snowflake on it! Its going on my list for my husband to get me!!:D.0 -
It is still quite mild in this part of the world, so I've not had to think about putting the heating on yet, but have to admit to taking a hot water bottle to bed on a couple of occasions!
Normally, I put the heating on as soon as I feel the first chill, because we have had a student paying to stay with us, and they are not paying to stay in a cold house (although they are from Norway, so they are very used to putting on an extra layer, but that's not the point!)......
but this year, with only my lot in the house, we are going to try and see how long we can last in the interests of saving a bit of money!

oooh i hear you on the cold front beat the debt. I'm all snuggled up in bed (again) to try and keep from putting the heating on... and as for a hot water bottle, I haven't got that far yet but I can't wait until I get mine out, it's a piglet one and I love it!!!! hmmmm maybe I could do some housework to keep warm...... hmmmmm maybe not!!!0

hey hun, sounds like you're doing well, only making lunch once a week, you can't go wrong can you!!!
And that is a good buy mario kart by itself is close to £40 I think.
How's the heat situation today? I think it's slightly warmer today, I'm still snuggled in bed though, but that's more through laziness than being cold!!!!
keep up the good work chickie, and between us we can stomp our debts down.0 -
Also in bed with lap top:D no heating today not as cold thankfully!

lol i have to admit to spending hours on here, literally as soon as i get home from work i just jump into bed and get stuck in on here, reading diaries and getting tips for different things. Going to buy some veggie starter kit things from wilko at the weekend in the hope that i can start to grow some of my own food. Hopefully it will help with the money situation... most of my money seems to go on food.... does yours or is it just me????0
