  • :hello: I've loved life a bit too much as well hence the small amount of debt I seemed to have acquired over the years.....

You sound like you're determined to beat the debt so look forward to reading all about it!

  • Hi in my dreams! Nothing cant be solved eh?.X
  • Well done BTD - you're on a roll, so go with it. Personally am happier too since accepting things had to change - a way to go but inside me now, can feel the difference.

Think what's making us all feel good is, having faced up to where we are, there's no fear now, we're taking control of it, and learning lots on the way too about what really makes us happy. I've always lacked goals and just muddled along. And fortunately for me, that's got me to a good place, debt aside, 'cos have been lucky.

But think I really lacked a sense of responsibility, despite the 3 DSs - or now I come to think of it, maybe felt overwhelmed by those particular responsibilities, and used money I didn't really have to reward myself with treats and nice things as a result.

So now, for the first time (and I'm a year in, which is part of my impetus to start writing all this down) I see myself wanting something and actually sticking to my plan, taking small steps to get me there, and it's a whole new feeling.

Hhhm, am thinking maybe is bad form, to put all this stuff in your diary. It should prob be in mine! But just wanted to say - WELL DONE YOU SO FAR.

Not very bouncy today. Managed to still take lunch even though we had no bread in house i made a tuna pasta!
Talked to a friend who had taken out a dmp for 5k and i thought perhaps i am tackling this debt wrongly:confused: I am paying everything and even though there is nowt left over i am happy enough.
Sooooo this afternoon went over shop and bought a buffett bar and crisps £2.50 fatter now and feel crap!
    Help!x
  • :j
on a more posotive note sold another book on amazon
  • Good morning! Feel better today back to my bouncy posotive debt busting self! :D A dmp is not for me at the moment that may change but i have to stick to my plans and not lose focus. Other people have other circumstances. Thats the problem when you share debt imformation some people tackle and look and things differently which is fine. Cooking pasta now for lunch in work. Have a good no spending debt busting happy day all!:T
  • well done on dusting yourself down. hearing what your friend had done probably just caused you to question your way forward. but you have the courage of your convictions and the snack was a v small set back - so, beat the debt, not yourself (up). and well done on the amazon sale. have a day "working from home" today so hoping to squeeze out some time to get listing myself.
