Yes, you need to allow bread dough made with plain flour a longer rise time. There are two ways to do this with a BM which works on time and not on the amount of actual rise that you have achieved...
Use the longest running program that your machine has - usually something like "whole wheat" or "whole grain".
Use the "Dough" program and then just leave your dough in it (checking from time to time!) until it has risen to your usual level, and then select your "Cook" or "Bake option".
Another alternative is just to make the dough and then put it in a bread tin, wait for it to rise correctly and then bake it in the oven.

I use Dove yeast, in the orange packet, it usually costs about 99p and lasts ages.
I keep an eye out for cheap bread flour and buy in bulk. I bought 10 x 1.5Kg bags from MrT yesterday for 62p each, thats cheap.
I buy seeds from MrS as they seem to have a better selection & prices in my area. They are small bags, but I mostly buy poppy seeds at 39p a bag and I get about 10 loaves out of each bag (you don't need many).

Hi.
The most economical way to buy seeds I have found is to search them out in the ethnic section at a large Tesco or Sainsburys.They are much cheeper in large bags and then mix them in the proportions you like.Lidl is very good for white bread flour.They also had carrs mixes in a few weeks ago at a very good price.My local still has a few left.

My favourites are Carrs white strong breadflour, it makes a lush white bread ( not cheap though and mainly only available up north) Mrs S breadflour is a close second. I use Allisons yeast sachets , they seem to work better than the own brands.
