Hmm. Buglawton's link didn't work for me. try this:
http://!!!!!!!/specialnumbers
Only replace the censored exclamation marks with bit . ly (perfectly safe)
He's probably correct regarding mobile numbers being included in the 3p per minute, but I need to test this to make sure.Practising Scrooge and stingy old miser.0 -
I edited the link in my above post.
There's a numer checker at the botton of that 3 page, I think it gives incorrect results, even 3 mobile number come up at around 30p/min.0 -
There's a link to a full small-print PDF Price Guide further down the Special Numbers page, but this only shows limited information for PAYG customers on page 15. It does state that all calls to UK mobiles, including "3", cost 3p per minute.
There's also a section on "Special Calls" on page 25, which is everything that's not included in "your monthly allowance of inclusive minutes". I guess that means everything outside the PAYG call rates listed on page 15.
I think the moral of the story is to be wary of headline rates and don't make assumptions. Check the small print before calling numbers you're not sure of.Practising Scrooge and stingy old miser.0 -
But that's been the case for every network for years.
0845 numbers always cost, as do other premium rate numbers. It's advertised exactly the same way contracts are where you get 500 minutes for example. Everyone and their mum knows that the 500 minutes don't include premium rate numbers.... because they're premium rate numbers.
I fail to see how this is any different to any other network who also have different rates for premium numbers.
It's not misleading at all. if that's misleading then surely ovivo's free 200 minutes is misleading. Or Giff Gaff's 8p a minute is misleading? or EVERY networks advertisments since the last 20 years is misleading.0 -

Can anyone please let me know what courier '3' uses to deliver mobile phones - I've been told it could be Yodel, Parcel Force or DPD
Thanks in advance0 -
I have an iPhone 5 on the top contract so pay a lot but it did effectively mean I had a top of the range handset for next to nothing upfront. I did pay £120 but got a £108 cash back deal so the effective cost was only £12 for a 64Gb iPhone 5. I am still paying for the phone but the call package means I am no worse of buying the handset in full and getting a cheaper tariff, and with a two year easy payment package. My best friend is on Three as well so you get another 5000 minutes to other Three users as well. Far more than I will ever need. It's really easy to default to cynicism these days, since you are almost always certain to be right.0

I'm thinking of moving to 3 from o2.
1. Does your pay and go balance roll over each month, or is it lost?
2. What network do 3 operate on?
Thanks0 -
