No drawbacks found yet, credit lasts indefinitely just like other PAYG.

It lasts 6 months unless you make a chargeable call/text/data.

    Same as every other network.

Just a quick question. My contract with 3 finishes on 11th July. On that date I intend to give them a months notice of termination.

I'm happy with the service but i'm not using the texts and i'm not using the minutes in my package I was thinking along the lines of going Pay as you go. I'd like unlimited data if I had a choice but I can get by on WiFi most of the time.

Anyway, I was wondering, what will happen to the sim from the cancelled contract. Obviously i'd like to keep the number if possible (it will save having to inform people of my change of number) or will it be switched off?

new cheap payg rates ON FREE SIM look promising for low users like me! Any drawbacks? eg does the credit only last a month as mine lasts indefinitely but is dearer per minute.

    3p / min
    Texts to any UK mobile

    2p / text
    Mobile internet

    3p / min
Voice calls to any UK landline*

    3p / min
    UK video messages

Calls to voicemail in the UK
    3p / min

    Did you mean
    3p a minute, 2p a text and 1p a MB of data
    as per

Seems someone at HUKD stole the story from DigitalSpy.

Full details and more info at http://forums.digitalspy.co.uk/showthread.php?t=1843514

The HUKD'er says he saw a sign stuck in front of a 3 Store, whereas the Dig Spy posted claims he is connected with 3.

The DigiSpy user who posted doesn't think so.

    Alright, own up.

Who ripped my post word for word and posted it up on HUKD?

I stand corrected, I was thinking of the new 321 tariff from 3 being discussed in this same thread. The new 321 needs a thread of its own and will makes its way into the top MSE recommendations I guess.

    Handset: iPhone 5

    Most commonly used location: Wolverhampton

Ease and reliability and connection: Not bad

Any other problems: Occasional outage of service while 'upgrades are carried out to network', only happened three times in three years.

Overall service and rating (out of 10): 8/10 for the unlimited data/price

Migrated to 3 about 3 months ago after leaving Orange. I was tempted by their unlimited data (and I do use a lot.....).

Thus far no issues with reception, my iPhone 4S even works in rooms where it never worked on Orange/ EE.

Sat in the garden last weekend streaming the tennis and F1 over the data connection.

    10/10.
