3 is the cheapest, but is it best

I took out a monthly contract with 3 on the one plan for the Galaxy S3 and have had nothing but problems since. Our coverage outdoors is good in our area but poor inside, so before purchasing I went into a 3 store and rang 3 up about their home signal booster. Both times I was told although you cannot buy one like Vodafone, I would be eligible for one if I rang back after I had my phone and said that I had a poor indoor signal. But after doing this I was told I was not eligible for one. I managed to get a good deal with my existing company Vodafone, although not unlimited like the one plan, so I rang on the 11th June to terminate my contract. I explained that I had used my phone, but was told because I could not get a signal I could still send the phone back without any charges. The 3 representative said they would send a bag out for me in the next 2/3 days to take the phone to the Post Office and return it. On Friday the bag had not turned up so I rang them again and was told the bag was due to turn up that day. I rang them today as the bag had still not turned up, so I rang them again, and this time was told that they did not even have a note of my cancellation. I have been on the phone for 55 minutes and have now been told I need to ring back tomorrow, as their systems are running slow. I would advise anybody thinking of taking out a 3 contract, DON'T.0

Went to the CAB the other day and they've advised me to write to Three citing breach of contract if they don't fix my phone.0

I signed up to the one plan in 2010 an have also now been told that my contract will increase. I have previously spoken to customer services to ask if i could lower my bill which they said i can't do. so how is it they can incease it but i cant lower it?0

I tried what others have advised elsewhere re getting their contract cancelled/reduced. I rang and said my signal was very poor and today they called back saying I was eligible for the signal booster but that other options were available. These options turned out to be that they reduced my monthly bill from £25 to £19 until the end of my contract (Dec 12) so in my mind that's a result of sorts!!0 -

They're allowed to increase in line with inflation, although I also think you should be allowed to end the contract early if they do that. T-Mobile and Orange did the same at the beginning of 2012.0 -
in follow up - I was able to get my fiance who lives in the same house a similar £5/month discount (due to poor signal at hgme - it's irrelevant as we use wifi in house anyway) so happy days!!0

Handset: Iphone 4s
Most commonly used location: Essex / City London
Ease and reliability and connection: Utter useless, never have a connection. Today this company has made me nearly £2000 out of pocket as someone was trying to get hold of me for a job they needed doing, they left two voicemails and sent three texts, all to which I never received.
Any other problems:
Overall service and rating (out of 10): 0/10 -
The worst mobile phone company I have ever used. Lucky I was only on a 1 month rolling contact. I have just spent 1 hour 43 minutes on the phone to these muppets demanding a PAC code which they finally gave to me.
I was offered a free blackberry and then a free iphone all to which I said was very kind but if I cannot get a signal on their network they are no use to me. They then had the cheek to try and sign me upto a 24 month contract!!!
NEVER USE THIS COMPNAY, YES THEY ARE CHEAP BUT THEY ARE RUBBISH!!!

Twice since taking out my new contract in May I've had texts to say that 3 have left me a voicemail. I don't use voicemail (have never got past the rigmarole about setting up my voicemail service account). Last time I attempted to hear the message but gave up when the aforementioned palaver started, and found I'd been charged 10p for my very short call to the voicemail number. I'm even more determined not to use the blasted thing now.
Anyway what I want to know is how can they leave me a voicemail without phoning me? I'm sitting here with my phone, it hasn't rung all afternoon, yet they're telling me I have a new voicemail from them. I thought voicemail only kicked in after the phone had rung a few times, or maybe if it is switched off?
Also what is the voicemail likely to be about? Presumably nothing important? Has anyone else received these messages?I haven't bogged off yet, and I ain't no babe

Well as expected I received a call from these clowns yesterday evening asking why I was leaving, they had even left 11 voicemails over the afternoon all to which the phone never rang once because I didn’t have a signal.
They wanted me to buy a contract for £8 a month to which I kept on saying is no good to me as I do not get a signal, after a long period of silence the person said could I just not take the contract out as a back-up?!?!
I politely told them to never phone me again to which the person said they would never call me again………………45 minutes later the phone rings…….…yep I’m sure you can guess who it was!
Purchased a SIM only from O2 yesterday afternoon, put it in the phone and received a full signal and full 3G so it goes to show that it is the rubbish coverage that 3 provide and not the area or a issue with my phone as they advised me.
Bogof_Babe, I have also had random texts from 3 saying I have voicemail but when checking it says I do not have any voicemails, all I can say is vote with your feet and move to another provider.0 -
