I love 3 mobile's all you can data. Coverage is also getting better all the time. Great for web surfing while away in the caravan.
  • Handsets: Samsung Galaxy S2 and Samsung Galaxy S3

Most commonly used location: Watford, North London, West London, City of London, up the M1, Leeds.

Ease and reliability and connection: Generally very good. Indoors where I live about half of maximum, but working fine.

    Any other problems: -

Overall service and rating (out of 10): 9

I've been with Three on The One Plan for just over a year, first on a monthly SIM only contract and recently signing up for a two year contract for the Galaxy S3. I've had no problems so far and signal is generally very good where I use the phone.

The only issue really is that signal drops off real quick indoors regardless of where I am. Usually there's still signal, but I lose signal much quicker than people on O2, Orange and Vodafone (if you look into the frequencies used it makes sense).

Sorry to hijack, saves making a new thread. Firstly, avoid the like the plague, haha.

But question. I'd been receiving a lot of cold calls from them, despite opting out. Complained for a week, they stopped (this was before Xmas). Anyway, the calls started again. The time line is

3calls one day, so I opted out using the automated system.
4 calls next day (opted out again)
    No calls Sunday
3 more Monday. I rang cs, was told 24 hours they'd stop.
4 the next day (slightly over 24 hours after ). Rang cs again, was told they weren't from three (despite knowing my acc number and last 4 spends) and was told to contact the police if I was worried.
4 more next day, rang cs, told 2 weeks to stop.

Been quiet now, but after nearly 10 hours on the phone to sort it, calls ranging from 8am to 9pm, despite opting out, numerous cs mistakes (transferring to closed departments, being lied to, told to go to police etc etc) and general stress, I want something back. They offered me a paltry 22 pound credit.

Should I accept, or push for more? Don't want greed, I actually want to leave them but they're not willing. What Should I ask for?
  • Please when dealing with the call centres and the threeuk ceo rep office RECORD YOUR CALLS.Their behaviour towards their customers can get very out of hand as my story which will post tomorrow will show and how blase they can be and dont like to find out you have recorded them at it, also even with that and proof of non fault on my part they still treat me like ****

So their phone service/product is fine, but what if something goes wrong and you need the side of service from customer support or ceo office, can you rely on it?

    NO:eek:

Does anyone in South East Northumberland use Three? most of my friends and family are on O2 and Orange, but before deciding who to go with, I wondered if any would recommend?

I'm currently with O2, and the signal is not as good as Orange.
  • Handset: BLACKBERRY TORCH 9800

Most commonly used location: SOUTH WALES VALLEYS

Ease and reliability and connection: Connection is very poor and on a single journey over 6 miles cuts out at least twice - in most directions. Home, its on 1 - 2 bar. Often cutting out if in kitchen/bathroom. Internet is a joke., so dont go there!

Any other problems: Customer service has been diabolical, they dont seem to care, and even though an independent who they pay to get contracts for them went bust and didnt pay Orange, I am left with bill from Orange, and 3 does not care. My blood pressure would soar if I continued about 3.
In South Wales, I would seriously go O2 or Orange in that order. Although the Orange home broadband is cool and free.

Overall service and rating (out of 10):3 gets a big fat 0 from me!:mad::(

I feel like I need to say something in Three's favour. Their system works. Their online account management is fine - easier than T-Mobile's really.

I guess the point is that I've never needed to contact their customer service, but to me that's a sign of a decent service.

I do live in London though, which I imagine makes signal issues simpler.

Have a look at the Ofcom sitefinder and Three's coverage checker.

Should give you a good idea of what the signal will be like for you.

I'm a big fan of 3 mobile, love the all you can eat data. But since more people are now using this network, the data is really starting to slow down.

I'm with Orange, and the signal is excellent on my Galaxy S2.

This thread is in regard to Three UK only.
