I've been with 3 for about 3/4 years and never had any issues with them at all.

I have only just joined 3, so far so good.

I have an iphone contract with 500mb per month.

Looking on the 3 site, I can get "
    Add all-you-can-eat data (contract term).

    £3.00 a month
Feel free to use the internet on your phone as much as you like for the rest of your contract."

Does this mean I will I have unlimited data, therefore unlimited use of apps such as iplayer, emails, internet etc?

I am confused because there are other add ons, which cost more, such as Add Internet Max, Add Internet and Email...... I would have though with unlimited data, I would have unlimited access to those anyway?

I purchased my iphone 4 in april and noticed problems from 2/09/11 after phone mast works had taken place in my area.Three blame my problems with Apple and Apple have exchanged my phone three times with me still having the same issues, this is on top of having a new sim card and three and apple doing escalation checks on my phone over the past six months. Today ive had enough explained yet again my issues with dropping of calls and texts also along with good will gestures of money being promised to me and then not being received. I told them they should allow me to leave this contract and they have said i have to go through the escalation stage which has been done along with everything else possible before. I am not receiving a service im paying for and by that right can i get this contract terminated?

  • Dear Three, I am writing on your wall because everybody else needs to know how "good" your customer service is.

Today I had to telephone 3 times to answer a simple question relating to my contract handset. the first call I was told by your call centre - who could not understand my accent that my name is Tim. I gave my name more than 4 times to this bloke, who told me that it is my fault that I am failing my security questions. It turned out that the CSR did not know that Tim equaled Timothy... so after this bloke, who became quite abusive to me refused me to escalate the call hung up on me, I then telephoned back immediately...

When I telephoned again, I spoke to another CSR who refused to give me his name; and explained what happened with the other CSR and want to speak to a manager to escalate the call (so I could make a complaint). I said that after the last call I want to speak to the Organ Grinder, not the monkey. To which I was being screamed down the phone that I am being racist and that the CSR didn't have to deal with me. I explained to him that I was not being racist (to anybody who knows me, knows I do not tolerate *any* racism what-so-ever) and then explained that if foreign call centres are not trained in colocialisms, names and figuring out what sex you are speaking to: then I want to speak to somebody who can understand me.

On the third phone call I was immediately passed on to a manager who dealt with my problem and apologised.

Does three UK realise that this level of customer service is going on in their name? is this acceptable to you in London's head office

  • I've had really bad signal problems with 3 in the past.

They refunded me a chunk of the contract price after a lot of complaining.

I was on the phone to 3 today and my signal cut out in the middle of the conversation - SPEAKS VOLUMES!!

I have been using Vodafone for a very long time..But came across Three a month back. Our family friends were discussing how good it is. Definitely cheap and its just perfect. So since my wife's contract is up for renewal we have just switched to Three. We have agreed on "the one plan" and to be honest its quite a catch as with Metro Moneyback they are offering £120 cashback.

    Handset: iPhone 4S

    Most commonly used location:Nottingham

Ease and reliability and connection: They are quite fantastic. Will have to use more for a better and fair opinion

    Any other problems: Not yet

Overall service and rating (out of 10): 7

    Hope this helps :)
  • I've been with Three for about three years now, my wife for a year or so, and three of our 'kids' are also on Three.

For our home area (Blackpool) we've found them to be absolutely fine, apart from one afternoon when we lost signal (but we know O2 was OK).

When travelling, I find them no better or worse than the other operators - though on a recent trip into Cumbria we could only get a signal in a few places - but had no other phone to compare with.

Their online service has improved recently, relatively easy to use and certainly no worse than O2. They don't have a proper support forum though, but their blogs seem to generate lots of questions and answers.

I'm not keen on Indian call centres, but I've found that as long as I'm firm with them they're very fair - but you do have to be forceful, if you don't ask you won't get.

Overall I think they're OK, certainly not bad enough to force a change to another operator unless 'new customer' deals elsewhere are sufficiently compelling. They used to include lots of 3 to 3 minutes in their contracts, which was one reason we've all got 3 phones, but that doesn't seem to be available anymore so I can see some of us going elsewhere simply to get a good deal.

I would like to ask though - how does MSE justify having this Sticky thread for Three when there isn't one for the other networks? Doesn't seem particularly balanced or objective to me!

Rang three the other day to leave, I have a good working phone from them 2 years + old guess they did not want me to leave, I pay 20.49 a month but now pay £12 a month for sim only plan on 1 month contract. 300 mins cross, 3000 texts, 3000 3t3 and 1 GB of internet. I never use all of the above so that will do me. On my other price plan i have 500 mins cross and 5000 texts. Guess i have a good deal.

  • Hi all
I'm looking at moving to 3 on the sim 300 12 month contract and have a question regarding voicemail that I can't find an answer for.
Does voicemail calls come out of you plan allowance or are the charged per minute?
