I got my daughter an iphone 4 (on Three) for xmas and whilst we were in town we done a speed test using the same app(I'm on Vodafone using HTC desire).Probably not an equal comparison due to the phones but she got 2000kbps(nearly 2MB) and I got 30kbps!!! Although Vodafone does pick up a normal phone signal in areas that the other networks don't,I think i'll be leaning towards Three when my contract is up in a few months.0

yeah i noticed that as well. Hence i decided if i was to stay with Three to just upgrade and take out a new contract direct with a Three store. At least they help with basic phone set up and if any problems they can help, compared to a remote call centre.
So far all so good, and the internet is reasonably fast.0 -
I've just switched from 3 to Tesco, sim card, on monthly contract. Cheaper, and more talk, texts and data than I had with 3.
3 contacted me a couple of weeks ago offering a new phone (but only the website offer)
I'm changing because over the last few months the signal has deteriorated, even outdoors. I tried a cheap sim from Tesco and could make calls which I'd been unable to make with 3.
3 were reluctant to give me the PAC number-kept trying to persuade me to stay and did offer a good deal. But the best deal in the world is useless if I can't make calls.
I was pleased when the signal was lost when talking to the 3 services lady-point made!0 -

I used 3 for a while, but found their customer services shocking. I'm with O2 at the moment and happy with them.0

Have been with Three sincu June 2011 and have had no problems at all. I have only ever lost signal twice and this was in remote areas which I think is acceptable because most mobile providers signal is not good in these areas. I constanlty get around 4mb download speed on 3G which is way better than my friends on Orange and O2. My job takes me all over the country where I have not had any signal issues at all. The thing I like most is being able to use my iphone as a personal hotspot linked to my laptop, so when im staying away from home I dont have to pay the ridiculous prices that certain hotel chains charge for wifi. There service is that good I bought my wife an iphone aswell on pay as you go. I also get comments constantly from my friends regarding my internet useage, because with 3 you have no limits where all of my friends do with their providers so I could watch TV on my phone all day if I wanted to.
Other mobile operators should get the message because 3 are wiping the floor with other providers in my eyes. I am very happy with them and will be staying with them for a very long time if their service continues to be as good as it is.:T0 -
I started with three approx 3 years ago and at first just had simple calls and text package. It is this time I got a Blackberry Curve 9300 and took out internet with the handset. I use it mainly out and about and at work and uni. However, the connection is poor and not worth the money. The customer service is shocking at best both in store and via customer service. I can honestly say I will not be renewing my contract with 3, I would rather go with a company committed to their customers.0
