Update

Husband rang 3 this morning to check where his phone was.

They looked on their computer and said that the reason the phone had no signal was because 3 had blocked the signal

The reason for this, they said, was because the phone had been reported lost or stolen. Other half asked why they'd returned it to him as a replacement and the person at 3 said they didn't know they had replaced it. (If you're lost, imagine how he feels)
They went on to say that they couldn't tell him when he would receive another phone, so the phone call ended there. Husband had had enough.

Mr_S then rang Trading Standards, who in turn advised him to ring Oftel. Oftel advised him to write to 3's complaints department (name supplied too) by recorded delivery. He was also told that if, after 14 days, there was no response, Oftel would take look into it for him.

Hopefully there'll be an end to this sorry saga soon, but if past history is anything to go by, I doubt it

I think they've 'replaced' this 'phone' :rolleyes: with one that might have belonged to someone else that was also waiting for a replacement??

I really don't know, or care anymore.

I found a picture of it last night on Dialaphone's site. So there's 2 phones on one page, not difficult to work out which model he's got is it? Or shouldn't be :rolleyes:

But he looked at both, said neither, then realised one of the two was his model.

It's been out of his hands so often he's forgotten what it even looks like let alone know the model

(It's the LG8138 btw)
