Wife got me an iPhone for Christmas. Canelling my 3 phone tomorrow. 3 months left on contract but I don't care - couldn't even get a signal sitting at my desk at work - on Shaftesbury Ave in London!! Honestly - what an unterlly useless and horrible network 3 is. Would never ever, EVER use them again for anything.0

Off topic, its still with 3 but a laptop not a phone - How long does it take for them to send out a laptop? I received the moden stick on Sunday (Xmas post) and now its Tuesday and their literature says 2 days after and before 11. I was soooo looking forward to a new laptop and I need to go out but am now stuck in indefinitely waiting!
The fulfilment centre for the laptops didn't ship them during Christmas unfortunately, they shipped most of the backlog this week though, I think.Hope that helps,
Mark

Cheap access to Email etc when out and about the reason i moved to 3. Phone sent back for repair. Tech guy in this Country admitted to me on phone that there is an issue with S2's. Phone sent back to me with same errors. Returned Phone 1 and was sent Phone 2 and that has same TCP/IP errors. Spent hours on phone to Mumbai, and also online to their Tech People in Mumbai. No real satisfaction at all. They are polite enough but you just get moved from department to department and never get any clear answer's let alone any admission there is a problem. Rapidly losing will to live!!!!!!!!

Sorry to hear about this, really am. If you're still having problems, I'd really recommend heading into a Three Store. They'll run tests and diagnostics on the phone, do software updates if available, and should provide a loan phone if it needs sending for repair.Hope that helps,
Mark

Handset: SE K660i (which didnt last out the contract) and also a broadband dongle - worked fine everywhere apart from my flat so we ended up having to install proper broadband in the end.
Most commonly used location: Southampton
Ease and reliability and connection: constant issues with signal going up and down randomly. Not reliable, phone would be on, with signal, and people would be trying to call and I'd have no clue. All of a sudden Id get loads of voice mails, sometimes days later, and realise that no calls were getting through. refused to send some of my texts some days, and around 20% of calls I had to try several times before being connected.
Any other problems: I am not racist but it would be nice to speak to people who understand me, and I can understand. Also, when I tried to leave I finally got through to someone who wasn't in the UK, but could understand perfectly well he was very pushy, refused to listen to me when I said I wanted to leave and that I didnt want to hear about their new contracts with orange, he as good as told me I was lying when I said the coverage was poor and although I told him several times I would make a complaint if he didnt cancel my contract, somehow he didnt get down to actually cancelling it - I am fuming! I'm leaving without a doubt, will write to them recorded delivery to cover my !!!!, then cancelling my direct debit after the last payment goes.
Overall service and rating (out of 10): 3. Would have been a 1 but the value for money of the deal I was on was pretty good - its just a shame that the coverage let me down half the time and the customer service was dire.0 -
Handset: 3's own 'INQ1'. Shoddy handset, not very well built. Really bad speaker + microphone. The screen broke very easily.
Most commonly used location: South Manchester
Ease and reliability and connection: Signal is pretty much constantly at 2, occasionally going down to 1 bar. Easy to use phone once you've spent a day or two with it (not the same layout as most conventional phones). Also, the text message inbox goes to 1001. This might seem a lot to some, and it does take me a good couple of months to fill it, but once I've received 1001 messages then the phone doesn't take in anymore messages and it doesn't even tell you. I spent 2 weeks thinking my girlfriend was ignoring me and only realised what was happening when my mum tried to text me to see where I was and she started panicking because I didn't text back.
Any other problems: When my screen broke I was without a phone for over a month. Repeated trips to the 3 store and phone calls to the customer service only revealed that my phone was "being fixed". After a month, my phone came back. Except it wasn't my phone. It had taken them 1 month to give me an entirely new phone, without my knowledge that they would do so. They tried to offer me an extra month on the contract for free, but I refused. Cannot wait to get rid of this company.
Overall service and rating (out of 10): 3. Brilliant value for money, except you can't even use the phone most of the time.0 -
STEER CLEAR WOULD NEVER EVER EVER USE OR RECOMMEND THIS NETWORK.:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:
In my experience with 3 its a sham of a network they offer very good tarrifs admittedly, but its all well and good having a zillion minutes, unlimited texts, emails and web browsing if there is no reception any where you go, and to think theyre getting away with this and have been for god knows how long looking at the posts on this site alone is beyond me who is it that rates these networks0 -

Something wrong with the handset then, nothing to do with Three's network coverage. Do you think any network would have millions of customers if there was no network coverage? :rolleyes:0 -
hey cheers rob never thought of that you sound like one of those annoying t*&ts on the phone when you try and sort it out with them :T0
