3 is the cheapest, but is it best

lisabristol, they are breaking the law - report them to the Data Protection Registrar.Time is an illusion - lunch time doubly so.0

Three get a lot of stick for poor service etc but then they are arguably the most ground breaking network out there...
- First for 3G
- First for Video Calls
- Best Call Bundles
- First for Mobile Broadband
- First for PrePay Broadband
- First to Offer Skype
Three just don't get the credit they deserve in the UK :T0 -
Have to say three have best reception in area where in live, were the cheapest for phone and call plan i needed and the two times i needed phone repaired (not three's fault SE made a dodgy phone) they have been brilliant. Anytime I need anything I chat online to one of the advisors. Maybe I will change my mind when it comes to an upgrade/ retention deal but for now I'm very happy with them.0

Ditto the above two comments..............I'm very happy with the price and package 3 offer & check out the new Skype promo too, give them a break!0

Id always been more than happy with them until this time re upgrading. To be honest, I would have probably stayed with them had they given an inch, but they wouldnt. I didnt want a top of the range phone, didnt even expect as much discount as last year. All I asked for was more texts for same price I'm paying now, to be on a par with deals I can get elsewhere but no go.... 5 years plus with 3 count for nothing apparently..0

Five years mean nothing if you are not a profitable customer... I'm not saying you are not but it is something for others to think about.0 -
My deal with 3 is coming to an end - have to say I am thinking of leaving them - not really had a problem with them but the deal I am on is quite expensive, my handset is damaged, and I like O2 more for some reason.0

Handset: Sony Ericsson K530i
Location: Cwmbran/Pontypool area in South Wales (a few mountains around so I accept that the signal might not be as good as it should be)
Connection: Connection isn't a problem although signal varies even when moving by a few feet but once connected it's in the hands of a higher power than me as to whether I stay connected
Any other problems: Where to start....The network constantly drops the connection mid-call, voice often fades in and out and the person I'm speaking to often sounds like Norman Collier. When I called 3 to ask about this the guy told me that the lower down a mountain I was the better the reception would be (no idea where he got that info from). I figured that this was all down to my location but when I went on holiday last year it was exactly the same with the connection drops etc and it was completely flat there. Anyhoo, as my contract is almost up I'll be ditching this phone and sticking with O2 (kept a previous phone/contract going and I'm glad I did).
I would say the phone is dodgy but my GF is also on 3 and is having the same problems (she has the Sony Ericsson C902)0 -

3 mobile is hopeless - it takes usually 2 or 3 calls to complete a short conversation & I often can't make a call at all.
Customer services is a waste of time, they are clueless. Every person you speak to gives you different reasons for the lack of service - the only one I haven't had yet is fairies in the garden.
The 3 signal here is very strong, if it wasn't I would be diverted to O2 which would give me a more reliable service. I haven't been able to switch it manually to O2 - any advice gratefully accepted.
It is very cheap - if only I could make phone calls!
Don't fall for the spam. I have seen their other post plus signature. And it is Orange, not o2.0 -
Three just rang me to offer a deal (I have two phones with them, one still in contract which I wanted to cancel because of the 3 like home changes and one out of contract for which I recently got a PAC code this deal is for the out of contract phone)
Man started by offering £10/month (£9.79 with the temporary 15%VAT) to stay on Mix and Match 300 with a free SE C905 over 18 months. I said I wasn't really interested in a new phone, but could they lower the price instead? He put me on hold and then came back offering a manager authorised "special deal" of £8/month (£7.84 @ 15% VAT) for Mix and Match 500 with the same phone. I asked if I could have the Nokia E71 instead and he said yes.
Got to say I'm sorely tempted... but also worried that I'll regret it in a few weeks if I accept due to network problems. Was going to switch to an o2 or vodafone 600 minute, £20/month SIM only plan.0
