    not sure where in Kent you are but Try the barn yard at gore farm in upchurch if you are anywhere near there, its a beautiful setting.

    No, nothing yet - he has two more days to respond to the 2nd letter, I am not holding my breath though, I think we are fighting a losing battle. It looks like we are going to have to take court action so yet more money to be thrown away and we simply cannot afford to lose a penny. :(

    The only development is that I have contacted a few people on trip advisor and one inparticular took the owner to court in 2008 and won his case. He refused to accept recorded delivery letters when they tried to complain. There is also another case on line which has been won because he didnt turn up. I am thinking (hoping) that if this goes to court and we win, I will be able to go to the press and slate him and I am sure there would be support from others who have experienced the same or similar!!

    I have not heard of that so I dont think its anywhere near us (east kent) but will check it out once I can gather up the energy to start looking again and once we have money for a deposit to put down (could be a while now we have to go to court). :mad:

    could you PM me the name of the hotel thats let you down? My friends are looking for a venue, they are looking all over kent, could save them the same hassle that you are going through.

    Its probably a bit far for us but wont rule it out either as would make it easier for guests to get to - will PM you now.
