What a bloody !!!!!! he is!!!
Hope you get it sorted soon Beks, and thanks for coming back to let us know xxxTank fly boss walk jam nitty gritty...0 -
Yeah, thanks Frannyann. We are looking at other venues and made other enquiries but I have almost lost the excitement of it all now. It sounds stupid but it is wearing me down and part of me cannot be bothered! All the venues we have seen are booked up for all the weekends in July/August next year but we were are considering a weekday though. We havent really mentioned our venue problem to any of the other venues as we didnt want the word to get back to him that we were already looking elsewhere. I also dont want others to think we are ultra fussy and don't stick to our word. Having said that, the people I have spoken to have not had good words to say about the venue so I hope we would be believed.0

How about a Friday wedding, thats what we are doing. Gives everyone the whole weekend to get over everything:D The wedding game is a close knit one, if they are not surprised then they won't think you are 'ultra' fussy

HI Beks,
I have just read through your saga and just can not get over what has happened to you!!!
Planning a wedding is one of the most stressful things any bride goes through and to think that slimey little git has added all this extra stress to you makes me so angry!!
You are def doing the right thing, do not let him get away with it and name and shame as soon as you can to try and make sure he never gets away with this behaviour again!!!
We are all rooting for you and DO NOT let this little toad ruin the rest of your planning!!
I know it will be hard but when this is all dealt with and you have your money back, try and draw a line under it and start planning from scratch and enjoy every minute of it!!!
Good luck

Hi Beks, I can't believe he hasn't replied to your letter. Personally I would take him to coourt adn do everything by the book. Then when it is all sorted go to the papers about it, or even Anne Robinson on Watchdog! I'm sure it will all work out and that with lots of support it will be fine! I'm sorry that he has ruined your big day but please don't let him spoil it! LOL at going to Anne Robinson on Watchdog!!!! Not sure I would have the guts to do that but really want everyone to know what an egit this man is and I would hate anyone else to go through the same thing.
Thanks everyone for all your support, it means so much for me to know that it is not just me making a fuss out of nothing and that other people would be doing the same. I really wish I could lose it with him but it isnt worth it and mine and H2B jobs would both be in jeapordy if we ever got a criminal record (not that it would ever get that serious!!).
I just want to reiterate to people, make sure you do your research before chosing a venue, dont feel pressurised into booking somewhere without all the facts and DO NOT put a large deposit/payment down unless you have wedding insurance. LEARN BY MY MISTAKES!!!!!! :rotfl:0
