Wedding venue problems - want to cancel.

Beks, when (not if!) you win your case, I'd go to a newspaper and tell them your story. Get that !!!!!! name and mug anywhere where brides to be might read.

How this arrrrshole keeps getting away with it after being sued many times before, beats me!

I don't understand how horrid some people can be ~ they just see ££££££££ signs in their eyes and have no feeling at all for their customers.

I hope that when this is all over for you, you have a magnificent wedding, even better than you could have dreamt.

If I had 5K spare, it would be winging its way to you, seriously, I'm so angry for you and your fiance.

What he has done is bloody rotten, especially as you can't plan anything else for the wedding without that cash.

What a complete and utter selfish !!!!!! he is, grrrrrrrrr!!!

Thats superb, thank you! Well worth doing it online then I think, it would be easier to do too, will give him his 7 day deadline tomorrow and then will be onto it ....

Awww thanks Shellsuit!! I think he is just out for the money, that seems to be what all the reviews seem to say.

The thing that riles me the most (and this couldnt be used in court and I wont mention it but it means a lot to me) is that H2B used compensation to pay for the venue. He lost his leg after an argument with a landmine and used that money he got from the MOD after his accident to pay for our wedding. Hardly worth losing a leg for (not that money can ever heal the wounds). Obviously that is totally irrelevant but to me, that is one of the worst things. It goes a lot deeper for me (and obviously H2B too although he wont admit it) :mad::mad::mad:

The link I posted also has a sample letter in it, warning that you will be going to court unless money is returned. Go get him!!!

Oh Beks that's awful, your poor fiance!!! I keep updating my OH on your posts and he said he'd love to go to the place and kick up a stink! I've told him that it's a waiting game now and that if it's winding us up, imagine what it's like for you 2! :mad::mad:

We're all rooting for you both, but what you've just said is the icing on the cake. I can well imagine what you are feeling....hurt, anger, upset, I hope it's sorted soon and you have your money back so you can carry on planning your wedding xxxx

LOL!!!! Its a good job you and your OH are the other end of the country or OH might enlist you to help LOL! Believe me there is nothing I want more than to go round there and kick up a stink but when we told him the first time we wanted our money back, he asked us to leave so it wont help (and we did it nicely!) I am normally a pretty chilled person (hence the first few weeks of no correspondence not worrying me too much) but I am totally fuming now, he has pushed me too far - I have never had so much hatred for a person (I know its wrong and I need to keep it calm and collected and stick to the facts) but the fact it has now been coming up to 4 months of this, I am starting to lose the plot :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Frannyann- have no fear - I will be naming and shaming, the venue will be blacklisted on MSE!!! (I dont use any other wedding sites but will sign up when this is done and dusted and get the excitement back again!) :cool:

Aw Beks so sorry I moved your thread while you were looking for it. next time click on your profile & you can find all your posts or threads you started.
Anyhoo I can't beleive the situation you are in & if I typed all the words that this man & his hotel bring to mind I'll be barred lot's of big bad sweary words!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Let us know what happens, hope it doesn't take too long to sort out, once it's all sorted do let us help plan you & your fiance's dream wedding sounds like you both deserve it. I know you don't want to play on it but the papers would love your story injured serviceman unable to wed his sweetheart due to thieving !!!!!!!!!!!!!! hotel owner.
Hug's honey take care of each other try not to stress out too much & do keep us updated fingers X'd the postie brings a nice cheque for you tomorrow,but I wouldn't bank on it.grrrr!!!
