Laura have a read through the thread (the clues are etc etc) no one wants to do anything to put Beks in an bad position. (The other side could use the thread).0

Thanks mousey - yes that is true. The otherside could use the thread and see exactly my tactic (not that there is one!!) and possible ways out for him which have been suggested. The more people who know the more likely it is to just slip out and be publicised and until the issue is 'sorted', I can't take the risk of telling everyone.
I went through a phase of wanting to shout it from the rooftops and let everyone know (thats when I added the very obvious clues ... led people straight there)but after advice, I removed these so it doesn't get into the wrong hands (ie if he found out I was going to publicise, I would imagine he would take me to court to stop it - not that I said anything that isnt totally true) or if the press got hold of it and did something before we got our money back. After advice from very knowledgeable peeps on here, I am not able to forward the venue name on to anyone else until the money is in our hands (and I would please ask others to do the same).
I promise that once we have our money back, I will let everyone know the venue name and you can see the reviews for yourselves! Until then, please be patient!!!0 -
Exactly Beks, the last thing we want is for him to 'shut up shop' before you get your money back. As I can imagine once this is out in the open, his company will likely to be in trouble as people avoid it!!:rotfl:Ahahah got my signature removed for claiming MSE thought it was too boring :rotfl:0

Hi Beks, just read through all this- gonna be very tired tomorrow!
Well done for keeping going on this- I thought I was someone who battles when companies go back on thier word/lie/etc, but you truely are the Queen of this! Well done! You should have a TV show about consumer affairs!
Let us know when you actually get the money in your hand! (and the name of the place!)
Good Luck and Well Done!0 -
Will this nightmare ever end???!!
Now we are 14 days since he received his court judgement. We phoned the court today and they said it is his final day for payment before we can take further action.
Obviously he is not going to pay.
We now have to organise bailiffs to go in on our behalf. There are 2 other options apparently but this depends if he is a ltd company (got to find that out somehow) - in some cases, you can claim the money straight out the defendents wages but not sure how that could work if he pays himself!! It looks like getting bailiffs is the best option but even this does not guarentee we will get our money back. Court are sending us some more forms to fill in so will know more when we get these.
Really could do without this now, the only good thing that has come of this is that OH has agreed that we should go to the media once it is sorted. Still cannot believe that our wedding plans have come to this. I dont know whether we are angry or upset right now - we should be getting married in 6 months, now it will be years (OH busy next year with charity events).:(:(:(:(

I keep trying to stay positive but I just cannot see it happening.
Doorbell rang earlier and I rushed to it thinking it might be special delivery ... it was the fishman!!! :rotfl:
Shell - OH away from the 14th for 2 weeks so I really hope we can come to some conclusion before then. I think they have to send him a letter first telling him they are coming and giving him 7 days to pay them, then they go in and take whatever. We have to pay to instigate the bailiffs and for any storage of items and then claim that off him as well. Everything is in OHs name (it came out his bank account) so it will be a nightmare if nothing is sorted before he goes away.0 -
:grouphug: Beks.... maybe a fairy godparent or two will help you out when you are able to go to the media?0

Beks hang on in there love we're on the final hurdle don't let that fat pr!ck win!!!! If you do I'll come down and throttle him.
You are nearly there don't let this beat you now. You will find a bigger and better venue than his ever was!! Don't let this money that was well deserved go to him.
We are all behind you here
