    Will this nightmare ever end???!!

Now we are 14 days since he received his court judgement. We phoned the court today and they said it is his final day for payment before we can take further action.
Obviously he is not going to pay. :(

We now have to organise bailiffs to go in on our behalf. There are 2 other options apparently but this depends if he is a ltd company (got to find that out somehow) - in some cases, you can claim the money straight out the defendents wages but not sure how that could work if he pays himself!! It looks like getting bailiffs is the best option but even this does not guarentee we will get our money back. Court are sending us some more forms to fill in so will know more when we get these :(.

Really could do without this now, the only good thing that has come of this is that OH has agreed that we should go to the media once it is sorted. Still cannot believe that our wedding plans have come to this. I dont know whether we are angry or upset right now - we should be getting married in 6 months, now it will be years (OH busy next year with charity events). :(:(:(:(:(

yep this is what I warned you about, it wouldnt surprise me if the guy has been through this before and knows exactly how to handle this situation, he will pay at the absolutely last minute. Apparently also bailiffs cannot touch things brought on credit so I think you still in for a long wait. I just hope he doesnt pull the dreaded he never recieved correspendance so your win by default gets cancelled.

Phew!!! A clearer head today! :)

Bailiffs have been organised for an additional £100. We can again claim this back, however, we have had to cut our claim down to £5000 otherwise we will have to pay extortionate money and transfer to the high court (this would take more money and more time - which we may not have if his business goes under any time soon - no up to date accounts so no idea how bad his finances have got). If it means we can get our £5000 back then I don't care, he can keep the £50!! The bailiffs should be in touch with us soon to arrange how and when to go in. There is a bit of a backlog apparently so it may be a while. Until then, I shall sit, relax and chill!!! :D

Chrysalis - trying to be positive so not thinking about that option right now! I am fully aware of it though!

Hope Companies House info doesn't suggest impending bankruptcy! Would you be counted as a creditor if you are waiting for a return deposit on an event you have cancelled, I wonder?
