Do you know if your original wedding date has been rebooked by the venue?0

So far I have stopped 3 brides from booking there, with internal noticeboard! So think how much you have prevented other people from suffering the same fate! :T
Yey!! Thanks Franny and well done you!! :j:j:j That makes me feel better!
OH was stopped at work the other day - asked if he knew the owner of the venue - very cagey about why! OH said "errr yes, kinda, well actually I am in dispute with him". Told the guy the story and turns out, he was gonna book his wedding there that afternoon and pay £2500 deposit!!!! He went home, told his fiancee and they cancelled. Told the owner that they had heard some very bad reports!!
Word is definitely getting around as my friends have been putting people off too, okay at the moment it is just small numbers of people but hopefully there will come a time when I will hit him hard!!0 -
Ha your doing him out of money already serves him right! I thought we had some good news then I was about to run down the street naked. Oh well there is that to come
I will be keeping my eye out on other wedding forums for people who mention this place and warn them off

Oh! My! Dear! God! Just read the news page of the website.. I cannot belive this guy has the audacity to post the 5 Feb 2010 blog! !!!!!!!
I have my fingers etc crossed!0 -
Viole - there are more unfavourable reviews than favourable ones - remember favourable reviews can be written by the venue themselves.
Anyway I hope that Beks and her OH get their money back and then some.0 -
keep it up becks - hopefully you'll get the result you deserve soon x just a thought - not sure if it's been mentioned before but can you complain to whoever issues the licence to the venue? probably the council/registrar? as they approve the venues they may be interested to hear the problems?"Normal is not something to aspire to - it is something to get away from" - Jodie Foster0

Just looked at their news, oh dear!! Didn't know until just now that they also own a pub that we used to go to a lot until it closed for refurbishment. It's opened up again now but not the same style so haven't been there since, i'm glad now0
