Wedding venue problems - want to cancel.

LOL at Steph, sorry just caught up with thread again been a busy week, but just booked a lovely sunday family valentine lunch at said 'venue' shame we're skint and live in Devon.......... kebab it is then!!

Well, we are still waiting (well I am anyway, OH gone swanning off to the caribbean without me! !!)

A CCJ has been actioned against his name and his home address. Bailiffs have been actioned but they too have had no response from letters so he has had three court letters and one from the court bailiffs and not responded!! Not quite sure how he is going to manage to squirm out of this one, surely he can't protest that all letters have never been delivered. The bailiffs will shortly be visiting him although cannot give us a date at present.

The veunes 'news' has now been published in local papers making me want to scream. But more reviews keep appearing on trip advisor (hand on heart it is not me - or any counterparts - writing them, I am leaving mine until we get the money back!! However, I have contacted a few of them to try and rally up some support for when this goes to the press).

Little dd has a date for her op now and it is a week before our supposed wedding date so I now see it as 'everything happens for a reason'. She is still in a lot of pain with the rods in her arm so she is my priority and this wedding drama is taking a back seat which is a probably a good thing or I would drive myself round the bend (TBH there is not a lot I can do whilst OH is away anyway as courts wont give the information to me!)

Why is this man the biggest loser on the planet?!!??!!?! Am glad the bailiffs are due in finally and it just shows with all the communication made to him, he is too gutless to face up to what is happening!! You could have so easily just let it go and not pursued this, but you have given him something to really stress about, no one likes getting these kind of letters.

Let us know when the bailiffs have gone in and see what he's said! Oh to be a fly on the wall!!

As for your little one, so true about this meaning to happen, and you can look after her, while the poor excuse for a man gets taken to the cleaners.

awww your poor little one beks want to give her a big hug but it would proberly hurt her!

really hope it all gets sorted want to slap that man so hard its stupid! really makes me angry!

Well I booked a table at said venue too but came down with a tummy bug so couldn't go we had chinese instead

Well done on getting the bailiffs in that's fab news..let's hope they strip the place and leave him with the clothes he stands up in.

What's your OH doing in the caribbean? jammy s*d. Anyway I hope your DD gets better soon and as for the venue then I wouldnt worry about them, they'll get what's coming to them.

Just read the most recent TA reviews, what a shame for those people who have been disappointed I feel so bad for them

This thread is driving me mad, I can't keep away, and yet I still don't know the venue. I hope it all works out for the OP it sounds as if she has kept her cool under very difficult circumstances.
