beks, if you could get Max Clifford onboard it'd be great. he may do some awful stories sometimes but he could get you more press than you could probably ever get on your own, dont think anyone in the area would be going near the venue anymore after it!

beks is this the article[/URL] , you know fine well you are not on your own for nothing, I'm impressed with how you & htb have coped with all this despite everything that's been thrown at you, how is your dd doing, poor thing have you managed to get her bathed yet lol.
It sounds like things will come good for you very soon, I can understand your oh being wary of Mr C, I would be worried event's would be taken out of your hands & the wedding would turn into a media event rather than Bek's & Mr Bek's special day iykwim, be a big decision that will have to be carefully considered, good luck with that 1.
Let me know if you want me to edit the link out honey hug's & stuff & you know your never alone xx Vi

I have just spent the last hour+ reading back through this thread! What turmoil I seem to have been in lol! I do come accross as slightly highly strung on here lol!! :rotfl:From now on, my posts will be matter of fact!!! ;)

Vi, yes, that is it and he is actually in that photo (it is an old one from when they sailed across the atlantic last year!! ;)!!) OH is sat down at the front, fourth one from the left (I think :o!!!) :D Its not the photo from the paper today, am not sure why they have used an old one. Ahhh, bless him!! :)

Thanks Vi, dd is smelling lovely and clean now:p, she wants to bath every night atm. Cast is off and just waiting for last of her stitches to fall out! She has a lot of pain from the rods but she is my brave little soldier and is coping well!

I didnt think about that side of it (ie them having a say over our actual wedding day if we ever get married), worth thinking about definitely.

I have emailed the 'business man' back and thanked him and said we are possibly interested but ultimately, it would be up to OH as it is effectively him who would be making the news, not me. The gentleman in question is actually the man I contacted on trip advisor who successfully sued the venue (along 2 others) for a disasterous new year. How ironic is that and it seems like a case of fate to me but not jumping in feet first - will see what OH says first and sit on it! :D

Thanks Vi, your post was most welcomed right now x

ETA: pic now chnaged so OH no longer on photo

You nana, you don't come across as highly strung, not at all. Just been through a helluva lot.
That thing re the chap you got in touch with via tripadvisor, shows exactly why you should always treat everyone as you would like you & yours to be treated. Mr Hotel owner has treated people like trash & gotten away with it, Karma is due & I know how terrible that can be.
If your oh is the 1 I think from your description ;) very nice. He is lucky to have your support.
Oh & when I said your never alone I meant you can always have a moan at us on here , just worried that is sounded like you had either a stalker or god . sorry just wittering now xx Vi

MrC is certainly Mr Nasty although good at his job. I would tread carefully as you don't want your wedding turning into a media circus. Your OH is brave if slightly crazy..ocean yacht racing is tough although I have been on one of the civil service yachts I havent been allowed on the racing yacht (I would be a hindrance:eek:) I can understand him wanting privacy, the press can sometimes try and own you.

As for DD wanting a bath all the time...that's good because most kids do their best to avoid them:rotfl:

As soon as you get your money back then I will spread the word amongst my fellow wedding & event planners:rotfl: I don't know any travellers unfortunately and Hells Angels are to be avoided anyway and they are picky because they like large slabs of homemade cake and mugs of tea (the tea tent at the Bulldog Bash takes the most cash over that weekend) - I don't think they will find a homely atmosphere at this venue..more like the atmosphere you would get in Brixton nick or Parkhurst:eek:

    :rotfl::rotfl: @ Vi and Horace!!!

Vi, I wasn't peeking out my windows to check no one was watching so don't worry lol!! You are right though, a little touch of Karma might just be heading his way. :) I think I am all moaned out - reading my posts on here is just one long moan!! I am either highly strung or a manic depressive looking at my posts! :D

Horace - yes, that is so true about Hells Angels - they wouldnt get involved anyway cos OH not a member (or whatever the word is they use). Talking of karma and the bulldog bash ... when we went the other year, our friend, 'jim' was asleep in the tent next to us, felt someone feeling their way into his tent. He shouted at him, asked what he was doing and the lad said 'sorry, wrong tent' and ran off. 2 minutes later, Jim realised that his wallet had gone and this lad had taken it so chased after him but didnt get him. It turned out, four others in the vicinity had had their valuables taken. In the morning Jim reported it to the security and they gave him the news .... the lad had been caught (well sort of) ... he had apparently run outside the bulldog bash fences, stopped under his mates car, fallen asleep and when his mates had finished nicking their loot, they got in the car and drove off. This lad was killed by the car running over him . How awful is that but what karma (in a very harsh way). We always wondered if the HA had anything to do with it. ...... god, I have digressed now ....

I am not even sure Mr C would be willing to take the case on so when/if the time comes, we will tread carefully! Ha ha, yes OH is a little bid mad but he has to be to put up with me too!! ;)

I think that what happened to the thief at the bulldog bash could be called evolution in action:rotfl:
  • I think Max is a good way at the end of the day he's good at what he does. This will close the !!!!!! head down hopefully and get what he deserves why should he get your OH's compensation money?? I hope Max will take you on because this is the best shot you have got to getting your money back. Can you imagine the headlines!! "!!!!!! HEAD ROBS COMPENSATION MONEY"

Lets take him down for the kill love :D

To be fair to Mr C, he will work for you and get you the level of coverage you want, plus because he is so well respected (and feared to some degree) He will protect your best interests well. Whilst I don't particularly like his methods, it can't be said that he doesn't give his best for his clients.

    PS Mr Beks is cute!!
:rotfl:Ahahah got my signature removed for claiming MSE thought it was too boring :rotfl:
