Sorry, quick question and wondered if anyone knew. Does anyone know if I have to submit all evidence with the court claim (copies of emails, letters, phone calls, bank statement etc etc). I know I have to photocopy everything three times but not sure if they mean just the claim form or if they need all the evidence or whether I just take that to court when we have the hearing?!! Does this make sense?
Should be able to submit claim tomorrow as I have a day off work and OH is on nights so fingers crossed I get everything ready by the afternoon.0 -
I'm not so sure about your question but if you don't send it they might send you a letter asking for evidence so I'd send it just incase
Well I've had to re organise my trip to New York now for May because it had to be within 12 months of the date of the issued tickets which was july and may is the only time I have off so i guess it's something. So now next week I've booked 2 nights at a warner lesiure hotel in wales but reading the reviews after booking it has made me worried as most of them are saying it's a retirement home!! I'm only 23!!
I hope you managed to get your claim done tomorrow.

Aww Steph, at least you have NY to look forward to next year! (not quite the same as December granted - I went a few years ago and it was lovely!) I hear Wales is nice though, am sure you will be able to find some entertainment - fingers crossed for you that you're not the only one without a zimmer lol!!
Mmm thanks for suggestion, you're probably right and it might be a good idea to submit papers anyway, I may try and ask at the court tomorrow and see what they say if I can't find out beforehand. Been searching on the internet for over an hour now with no joy!!
Thanks Steph, enjoy your break.

omg - just read the whole thread - shocked that it isn't resolved - this must be so draining by now! i genuinely don't understand how you can have to pay the full amount with no refund if no contract was given. even it it was made verbally, surely he would have to prove it was made clear it was non-refundable which is obviously impossible?!
fingers crossed for you - what a total *insert any random swear word here* he is!:happyhear0 -
Gawd, we are not even there yet. It is so frustrating!!
I had to go into work Monday so could not submit papers to court. I left OH to do it (I typed papers out first) but when he got there, he saw I had missed a date out which meant it didn't make sense and he couldnt work out what day!!!
He came home (20 miles from court) to sort it and then found the correct so went back. When he got back to court, he was told that because we were claiming intest, the fee went up from £108 to £225 as it took the amount over the £5k mark. He came home yet again and changed it and then when he got back, the court woman (not sure of her title) didnt seem to understand the interest statement on the back!!!! He was then asked to pay £5 for 3 copies!! So, he came home again!!!! LOL! What a farce!! His stress levels were just a little up!!
I have now decided to leave off the interest altogether, all we are interested in is getting our money back and although I would like to shaft him, if we did lose, it would mean yet an additional £100 was down the drain. I do not want OH to lose even more of his compensation, money that he will need when he is older as his mobility is likely to deteriorate. I can do my smear campaign when we get the money back.
Have finally redone all the forms, checked them 100 times and they are ready but OH has gone off to work without signing them lol!! Grrrr, why do I bother?!!!
I would have done all this online but there is a really limited word count and just cannot squeeze everything I want to say into 1080 characters!!! No wonder people dont get to court and give up - there is so much damn red tape! Anyway, on the positive side, we just have to sumbit it now and wait to hear!0 -

Beks, you're doing amazingly well. Its the little baby steps that will get you there. First rule of married life is clear, NEVER leave it to a bloke to sort something out :rotfl:
The most important thing is getting your money back, interest etc can go but get your money back and then start planning your perfect wedding. x:rotfl:Ahahah got my signature removed for claiming MSE thought it was too boring :rotfl:0 -
You're doing brilliantly beks, keep going girl! Hope it all gets sorted very soon x0
