Yes, just another example of his ineptitude!! Total !!!!!!! I guess he could argue that he cancelled it once we told him we didnot want to get married there, if we need to go down that road I will get the evidence and more info from the registrars!
Just have to wait for the post again (after new year now I guess because of bank holidays etc) now to see what the result is. Don't want to count my chickens before they are hatched! ;) :lipsrseal

    Thanks Steph! x :D
  • Beks, I would just check anyway with the Registrar that it wasnt actually booked in the first place. Therefore, if he does say that he cancelled it, you have the proof at your fingertips! It makes you look more organised. Don't forget to get the person's name at the Registry Office who you speak to!

You're probably way ahead of me on this one, but did you ever see the registrar to give notice? Is it that you had already done this and then the venue was meant to book the actual appointment?

With my registrar, you phone to book and the appointment is held provisionally, then you have to go and give notice within a month, after which the appointment is confirmed.

Just a bit confused as to how the venue could do all the registrar organising on your behalf. Well, leaving aside they fact they obviously didn't anyway.
  • I have my fingers and toes crossed for you!
