Why? Are you desperate like Hamish or maybe have a property portfolio?Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0 -
I have been thinking about the whole Ad PPR thingy.
It really shouldn't be that difficult. Make a user name and dont use it on this part of the board.
Post in the Arms or where ever for a couple of weeks, keep running the nonsense names along side. Then stumble across this board with a decent post count under your belt.
That's how I would do it.
It's what the idiot who keeps popping up on here to have a go at me does. A couple of recipes on Old Style, a LOL and <<<<<<<<<huggggggs>>>>>>>>>>> on DFW and then on here to post a couple of dumb things before being PPR'd again.
I think MSE claim they have no way to track IP addresses of users.0 -

Did anyone notice it was a 0.36% gain predicted?
Not going to exactly make a lot of difference - even if it does come true.
All those people stampeding to the estate agent in case they have to cough up another 0.36% in a year? Can't see it having a whole lot of impact on sentiment, frankly.
The sentiment is portraying what many on here have been saying regards stagnation.
You could see a year of stagnation, maybe two or three, then what is likely to happen after the stagnation period?:wall:
What we've got here is....... failure to communicate.
Some men you just can't reach.

But my position on price rises is clear, somewhere around 3% up in the next year, around 5% the year after, and around 7% the year after that.

Sorry but that will not enable you to get around the MSE IP filter.
The private IP that your Local Area Network router provides your PC is not the same IP that is used to route over the Internet.
It is the Internet routable IP that will be filtered on the MSE servers.
These are usually reasonably permanent in that you could disconnect your session with your ISP and still receive the same IP when you reconnect. That is even without requesting a fixed IP from your service provider. Most ISPs don't even bother putting a lease time on IPs for customers these days and you can end up wit the (purportedly dynamic) IP for months if not years.
If you do need to side step the MSE IP filter you can mask your IP via a proxy server. The software on a proxy server enables you to connect to it with your banned IP and provides you with a different internet routable IP for your connection to the systems on which your IP has been banned.
Similar technology to the Network Address Translation on your LAN router but all using fully internet routable IPs.0 -
I looked up poxy servers. See link. Too complicated for me. Luckily there is no chance of me being banned - I am far too nice for that.

breaking news...70% of this sites users are in the pooh pooh with debt...thats why they are here...It is nice to see the value of your house going up'' Why ?
Unless you are planning to sell up and not live anywhere, I can;t see the advantage.
If you are planning to upsize the new house will cost more.
If you are planning to downsize your new house will cost more than it should
If you are trying to buy your first house its almost impossible.0 -

And what's your point? Even if your statistic is true (source?) then why does someone having debt make their opinion of the direction of house prices any less valid than someone with no debt?
We've recently paid of our mortgage. This doesn't, unfortunately, mean that I have suddenly developed superhuman powers at predicting house price movements: I'm as clueless as I was this time last year.0
