pasta is fine IMO to leave for any length of time. I know there's an issue with rice but I haven't tried it.
My food flask is plastic and its rubbish - barely warm by lunch otherwise I'd use it every day!

It was a proper 'Thermos' stainless steel one, I'll have to have a look in Wilkies or Aldi next time I pass one.
ASDA have the genuine Thermos stainless steel ones. I got two "Everyday 500" 0.5 litre ones for £7.00 each. Argos have the same ones for £7.99.
They are certainly efficient: I put some ice cubes in one, thinking they would melt a bit and I would get a really nice, cold drink. They didn't melt! The acquisition of wealth is no longer the driving force in my life.0 -

I put newmans dressing (or for old style sometimes balsamic vinegar and olive oil )on cold cooked pasta and leave it overnight to marinade: lovely. My 10 year old will eat pasta no matter what we put on it, tonight he scoffed pasta with half a jar of babyfood pasta sauce (bought for extra clubcard points). Its a matter of taste, but without some sort of sauce it would be too sticky.
SOmetimes have bunged on some bolognese sauce from a Jar.
Tescos £1 yellow boxes currently have 2 packs of red edged microwavable plastic tubs, tried one with leftover soup the other day in the office microwave. They have a little lift up thing to vent the tub.0 -

Cook your pasta, drain it, then add a tsp of olive oil (1 per 2 portions of pasta), a good squirt of tomato puree and a pinch of mixed herbs. Stir through and leave to cool.
Meanwhile see what you have in the fridge, diced peppers are nice as is cubed ham, cold cooked chicken. Dice a tomato and whatever else you fancy and once the pasta is cold stir through your chosen ingredients.CC2 = £8687.86 ([STRIKE]£10000[/STRIKE] )CC1 = £0 ([STRIKE]£9983[/STRIKE] ); Reusing shopping bags savings =£5.80 vs spent £1.05.Wine is like opera. what kind of types have you tried- maybe its certain ingredients that dry it?
i just make up pasta, mayo, cucumber, tomato and sweetcorn. it keeps well for at least 3 days in the fridge.
because we all like different we just add chicken/ ham/ peppers/ herbs/ spices/ tuna or whatever we want as we want it- so i wouldnt know how any of that keeps or dries, sorry! We cannot change anything unless we accept it. Condemnation does not liberate, it oppresses. Carl Jung

I usually put mayonnaise through it with some fried onion, bacon and mushroom. For times when I'm really pressed for time, I stir a spoonful of pesto through it.Continually trying the Grocery Challenge. Gotta keep trying!0
