I find that if I just drain the pasta and leave it to cool it's sort of both sticky and dry at the same time, which is slightly odd to eat as well as describe. I rinse my pasta really well in cold water after I've drained it - this leaves it separate and moist. I also find that doing this and then only putting dressings - oil/mayo/whatever when the pasta is completely cold stops it being absorbed into the pasta and making it claggy the next morning.0

I think if you rinse it with cold water immediately after cooking it stops it get sticky. Leaving it to cool tends to make it stickier. A drop of oil will make it separate too.0

just don't put a vinegar dressing on! i made a massive batch of pasta and veg salad to go with a bbq last month, and put an oil and balsamic dressing on. the next day it was seriously minging!0

A bit of balsamic over the top just before eating can be yum though0

tuna mayonnaise with diced peppers... thats what i've got for my lunch today!
or chicken and tomato, pepperoni and tomato, prawn mayonnaise... the list goes on!
ooh cheese and bacon and tomato is a good one!the only debt left now is on credit cards! The evil loan has gone!! :j:j0 -
I like tuna pasta salad with sweetcorn. Another thing is couscous - not pasta, I know, but it does taste rather nice cold. Asda do a couscous seasoning for 98p, which you mix with the plain couscous, and it works out very economical.

I really love the Morrisons Spicy chicken pasta salad from the salad bar.
Does anyone know(maybe who works there) what they put into it, as i'd like to try to make my own.
All it says on the packaging is "Pasta with spicy chicken and sweet chili mayonnaise".
My pasta salads always taste horrid..
Any ideas anyone?I Hate Jobsworths!!!0
