I don't regard it as an insult. My experience hasn't been anywhere near as good. ALL my claim cheques arrive around fifty days after they they receive the claims (NEVER as quick as yours seem to). I do know specifically of one claim that was declined totally incorrectly and still rejected after that was challenged. I know of another that was paid incorrectly (not just the when but the what). Sending by email does not "guarantee" anything. It IS 30 days and they implement that TO THE DAY. I never send my claims to Mobiles2yourdoor by recorded delivery (and they give you 60 days to claim AND answer their phones - they even give you an incident number so it's all logged) and there is hardly ANY adverse feedback on Mobiles2yourdoor but lots on this dealer. The only reason the rep is on here is because of all the problems people are having with the basics through the proper channels. Finally, given all the things the rep has said, I think there is a LOT to worry about with mobiles.co.uk!
We obviously have rather different experiences of them, but at least yours are (like mine) first hand.0 -
Did you email in your claims individually with a order ref or post it in? I think they may mess it up with multiple claims? I don't know I don't work for the company but I suggest sending them a clear email saying you have this issue and in my view they should sort it out in a timely manner. Obviously with a large(ish) company people are going to have good and bad experiences which is what I suspect we have here
Whenever I email my claim I always ask them to confirm that the bill is the correct one needed for the claim and (i'm no legal expert though), if they confirm by email its the correct one then this would obviously have no legal standing in a court of law if they later decline it by saying it the wrong one.
I always space the contracts out so I don't claim for many contracts (I don't have that many) at the same time.
Obviously we were both aware of the 30 day window when we applied for the contracts thus its a bit unfair to say X company give 60days etc we know how these business models work
There are quite a few company reps on the forum and TBH they don't have to be here but there here to help then fair play.

If you mean the one about the cashback that never arrives I quoted that one to Ben the other day. His reply was that the cistomer was in the wrong and he guarantees the customer got the cheque. Yeah right of course he did Ben
Something that amuses me and I chastised my partner for when I spotted it. This is undisputed fact that you can all try.

Silk - You need to search mobiles.co.uk in inverted commas becauses "mobiles" is a very generic term indeed if you go to page 10 you see pages got nothing to do with mobiles.co.uk. Also look up phones4u. Mind you this can no way be an accurate way to determine satisfaction levels

By post with a covering letter. All very straightford and there is absolutely no ambiguity. Soon after I receive a message saying it's received, then another saying it's been passed to the cashback team or whatever. Once they say it's been sent for the cheque to be raised it takes a few more weeks. In all, it ALWAYS takes about 50 days. I have never emailed a claim and (with this company) never send two claims in the same envelope. I always claim as soon as the bill arrives and ensure that there is no valid reason for rejecting a claim. There is nothing which should delay any payment - but they are always delayed.
I am well used to running multiple contracts. At any one time I have had up to about 10 or 11 for myself and about the same for the people I look after. I am extremely well organised and efficient and know what is happening at any point. When a legitimate claim is rejected I react immediately and appropriately - that has ensured that one such instance was eventually paid by this dealer without needing to sue (although the person concerned HAS sued cpw before - successfully - and would have done so again had the money not been obtained). There are other issues which I am not going into on these threads, but the dealer's actions, performance and actions are in stark contrast with my substantial experience with their main competitor, where I would find it extremely surprising to end up in a similar position. I have had some good experiences with Mobiles.co.uk. - but the bad outweigh the good and the good were because they started with the bad!0 -
Bit of a cheap shot there, Silk, I fear.
If you put in "mobiles.co.uk" problems ( just like that) into Google, you get 18,400 hits.
Yep I agree it was a "cheap shot"
If you put "mobiles2yourdoor" problems you only get 1050 hits so they only have about 5% of the problems that mobiles.co.uk do based on google hits !By all means have a go when you are in the right, but I am surprised at you not taking the trouble to look at some of the hits and, of course, not being able to Google properly
It was only a tongue in cheek post because I noticed the figures when I was showing my OH what she would have found on Google instead of ordering from them blindIt's not just about the money0 -
And silk if you do the search for "phones4u problems" you get 11400.0
