    hilarious, well done:T,,

i hardly think littlewoods catalouge stock logo`d uniforms for my daughters school do you?

and for your information the debt is now paid off. and that is the only debt ive ever had.

 you couldn't afford the monthly repayments but have managed to repay the whole debt in a matter of days!!!
    OK then
  • Not nice Amistoso and certainly not on topic. If another poster has fallen on hard times it is certainly not a subject to be ridiculed. Everyone is entitled to an opinion and to say what they think and if you don't agree with it there are other ways to get your point across - this is not one of them.

It would be nice to hear back from the OP to hear how they have got on with the school and if anything has been resolved.

thanks ivory tinkler,, its amazing what length people will go to in aid to be-little some one or get their point across.

Once again (big sigh) you could get alternative uniforms from most supermarkets, that way people would have a choice

What part of that are you not following

    School uniforms are brill.

No badge snobbery, less grief from kids, easier to wash, no thinking required, cheaper than labels,

Fair play to schools that insist upon the kids wearing the uniform - top idea.

Before the other person says it. You couldn't afford monthly repayments on your debt but you could waste money on a bet???!

    My god, what a fuss.

i buy all my DD uniform and i dont work.

in total her full uniform came to £200. i bought the logo`d stuff from school, shoes from clarks (i found i was buying around 4 pairs of shoes per year if they wernt clarks), coat and pants from next and george.

parents know their children need this so why dont they save or buy bits and bats each week like i did.

or simply, dont send your child to that school.

i dont mind paying for her uniform, it creates a sense of belonging and looks so smart. i wouldnt want her to go to any other school either, its the best primary school in our city, high on disipline, respect and DD is 5 and doing reading and arithmatic for 9 yr olds. (she couldnt read last year).

Do you think you'd be saying the same thing if you had 3 sets of uniform to pay out for? £600? Come on, what would your choice be if you had 3 children:

    a) Happily stump up the cash (doesn't matter where it comes from)
    b) go cap in hand to the school saying you can't afford it
    c) put your children in another school?

Are you saying that your child is now doing school work for a 9 year old purely because she's wearing a logo'd uniform? Was she not wearing it last year and that's why she couldn't read? (for the record, schools do not expect 4 year olds to be able to read).
It's wouldn't have not wouldn't of, shouldn't have not shouldn't of and couldn't have not couldn't of. Geddit?

of course im not saying she is doing work for a 9 yr old because of the uniform, she was wearing it last year when she started the school (reception, she is in yr 1 now)(so in 1 yr she has learnt to read like a 9 yr old). the school has an outstanding ofstead report and i was adament that she was going to that school. the children there achieve well above the national expectations of them.

for me the quality of education by far out weighs the cost of the uniform.

and if i had 3 children to pay for i would happily do so, and i would provide the correct uniform for them.
