It would appear it was indeed the OP's active involvement with the School, that got the ridiculous "rule" quashed, rather than leaving it others and just having a moan.
It is easy to jump up to the plate when something affects you personally, less so to do it on a regular basis when the subjects under discussion may affect others more than you.0 -
Too right, as it is the subject has greatly affected the majority of those wearing the uniform at the school, in a far fairer and productive manner for everyone effected by the scandal.
Rather than sitting down and moaning about it, the OP acted and succeeded exceptionally well, I cant see what you are complaining about.
I could just as easily say if I get mugged, its easy to report it to the Police, but less so to form a witch hunt for all muggers, who effect plenty of OAP's more than I.
Its a little weak for an argument, fact is, the OP successfully overturned an unfair rule, which in return is effective for everyone in the School and not just her child.
Humble Pie anyone:A:dance:1+1+1=1:dance::A

I am not complaining,:rolleyes: just pointing out that it is extremely unlikely that this policy was introduced without prior consultation, and/ or notification. That consultation would probably have included the PTA. So, my point is that, yes, the OP has had the policy modified, (not overturned, logos are still required,) but had they been involved with the school prior to this personal issue, then it may not have arisen.
Loads of parents moan and complain, but never step up and do anything, some do so when an issue pertinent to them arises (as in this case) others simply leave it to others, citing busy lives. We all have those:rolleyes:0
