As regards to 'signing on', do you still need to go in person ?
I knw someone who has recently become unemployed and he told me that you don't need to attend anymore, the system is now you just need to phone once every two weeks to say you are still looking for work.Liverpool is one of the wonders of Britain,
What it may grow to in time, I know not what.

The last time I claimed JSA (for three weeks over Christmas three years ago) they wanted to see concrete proof of my efforts to secure employment: who I'd emailed and telephoned, which companies I'd sent my CV to etcetera0

You know, I'd be able to forgive someone taking some cash out on my card if it were an emergency for whatever reason. But to do it and not tell you, and use it for 'non emergency' stuff, would really annoy me. And I think the thing that would bother me the most would be hiding the bills. That would seem so dishonest. Plus, if he'd done it, and knew he'd done wrong (which he obviously knew by trying to cover it up), I'd be expecting him to be frantically trying to make up for it by getting a job. I'd be worried that he didn't want to get a job, or to go on a course to help him get one, makes it seem as though he's quite happy to float along as he is doing, feeding from you.
I've also just refreshed the page and saw his age, which also bothers me, he really should know better. Get your money back off him, and leave, would be my advice. However happy you are with him, I'm sure you could be happier with someone who treats you better and who will help you to provide a better life for yourselves as a couple, rather than him expecting you to provide him with the lifestyle he wants to lead, but doesn't want to provide for the both of you.0 -
Tell us how you think they differ then?I can't see any similarities between them and their relationships with their mothers though.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0 -

I second that BBG...Geri....run like the wind whilst you have a chance, motive and opportunity.
Do you think your in the last chance saloon? Better to be single than to have a leech slowly draining your lifes blood.
37 and hes still a fully paid up citizen of looserville? By his age i had done 21 years of solid work.
What qualities does he have which make you still keep him under your roof?0 -
How did he get cash from the card? Don't you need the PIN number?0

If the bank hadn't called you today how much longer would this have gone on for? Unfortunately your OH can't be trusted if he has betrayed you like this. Personally I'd never be able to trust my OH again if they did something like that...2022 wins include.... £1,000 cheque £150 ASDA gift card £250 Impericon gift voucher £100 cheque £100 of plant bulbs £100 Bower Collective voucher0

He ain't the man for you, get the cash back first then sling him out.0

I know you want it undone that's how it feels when you love someone and they betray you.
I'm with the majority here and say chuck him. Not only has he stole from you, which is bad enough but he has lied and if your like me, i feel more angry, upset and betrayed over the lie than the actual 'wrong doing'.
He will do it again and the next time he might be the one leaving you with all your hard earned cash and belongings with him to fluff up the his next nest.
But saying all this only you can make this desision, but i would strongly recommend you get the money back and your credit card before you break up.
PS - complety unrealated but i second your tag. I warn any cat lover not to use bob martin flea treatments. I have a cat and a year ago brought a kitten to join him who was infested with fleas. I brought this to treat both cats within minutes my older cat started frothing at the mouth and fitting we rinsed of the product and while we was phoning the vet i noticed the kitten was unconsious and by the time we got both to the vets the kitten had died. My older cat lived but i can't bear to think if we had gone out after treating them or was occupied with something else and lost both.0
