    Right Guys

I'll finally have enough money saved to purchase the ring i want to propose with come the end of Nov.

    Okay

    1) do I pop the Question On Dec 22nd as this is our anniversary of when we "met and got together"

    2) Xmas Eve?

    3) Xmas Day/night

    4) NYE?

I am stuck between the 4!

Any ideas? especially from the ladies?

    Thanks X
  • I would be personally more inclined to go with your anniversary date or Xmas eve. I think that Xmas day and NYE will be the times that she would most likely expect it because those are very popular times for proposals. Depending on how you want to propose i think a lovely meal on Xmas eve when you are both feeling christmassy and warm and happy inside would be a lovely proposal. Then she could show her ring off to family on Xmas day. That would be my feeling anyway. Doing it on your anniversary date is a great idea too because that date is particularly special to you both.

I just feel that Xmas day and NYE proposals are too "overdone" but that's just me.

Good luck with whatever you decide I am sure she will be over the moon, whatever day you choose!

Go for the date of the anniversary.... it will mean more to the two of you....at least it shows you remember when you met....and then you have the other days to celebrate too....
Sadly it will mean you still need to buy a christmas present!
frugal October...£41.82 of £40 food shopping spend for the 2 of us!

    2017 toiletries challenge 179 out 145 in ...£18.64 spend
  • i'd go for the 22nd of December if i was you.

i'm getting married on the last saturday before xmas because we first meet on christmas eve 2005 and hit it off straight away and shared a little kiss but didn't get together for another six months but we always count that as the day we had each others heart x

im planning on propsing to my oh soon too! im going to propose with a ring although u could use another gift or not at all. i know my OH will wear a ring though as he already has one from his 21st birthday which he wears. h samual have some nice mens rings but im going to get him this ... as he is very mechanical. if he manages to propose before im going to have it as wedding ring for him :D

Good luck! That ring looks great, my OH is also very mechanically minded so he'd love one like that too although we're both quite traditional so I'd probably have chosen something more along those lines.

I've decided not to go through with it now, we were at a party last week and I overheard him say something to someone else that makes me think it's not something he's ready for yet, so I've decided to just leave it and he can ask me when he's ready. To be honest, I'd probably prefer that anyway, again it's more traditional :p I'm not in any rush, no matter how much I do want to marry him, as long as we're together I can wait :)
