Morning diamond enthusiasts! Some great advice here, so glad I spotted this before I dropped my trousers in the high street stores.

Spotted this one on qualitydiamonds, £705. What do we think?

    Crel,

It's surely a nice diamond, but the price is a little off the mark.

I've found this Diamond on the bluenile website.

    GIA Dossier: 2111146791

    Stock number: LD01685234
Price: £499 exc. VAT (£586 inc VAT)
    Price Per Carat: £1,134
    Carat Weight: 0.44
    Cut: Ideal
    Colour: E
    Clarity: SI1
    Depth %: 62.1%
    Table %: 55%
    Polish: Excellent
    Symmetry: Very Good
Girdle: Medium to Slightly Thick, Faceted
    Culet: None
    Fluorescence: None
    Measurements: 4.84 x 4.89 x 3.02 mm

This Diamond also has a better cut, so will sparkle more.

I've just bought a Diamond Solitaire from here myself and I'm very happy with the quality.

when dealing with samarajames I paid an extra £50 to have the ring valued at the Assay office. It came back with a value of over double what I paid for it, which is unbelievable. They also provided some great advice regarding insurance.

I really cannot recommend these guys enough - fantastic quality products, fantastic customer service, and you can get far more for your budget here than on the high street.

Ive been on their website... and all looks good... although there is one thing that is making me think twice from buying with them... they dont give you any details of the grade of cut... only " good" and "premium"... Any info on this?
  • Just a quick question, been pondering this for some time.
    http://www.amazon.co.uk/Color-Clarity-Certified-Diamond-Engagement/dp/B003XSB4JM/ref=sr_1_7?ie=UTF8&s=jewelry&qid=1282244636&sr=1-7

Found this seller on amazon that is based over in USA,
All reviews seem to be good.

The price itself seems to be about 300-400 cheaper than i can find it here.

    Has anyone any advise?
    Good or bad?

just out of curiosity, how many MEN wear Engagment rings??

I'm wondering this too, I'm thinking of proposing to my boyfriend on his birthday later this year but I wouldn't know whether to get him a ring or not and whether or not there is any kind of "tradition" as to what type, as there is for women. I almost definitely will get him one, but wouldn't know which type :o
